I would like to know what the anti-spammers find unacceptable. If I know what is enjoyable for them to read, I will post more of that, and if I know what is annoying to them, I will post less of that.

For example, I know pretty much any post mentioning the word "1337" is disliked, so I will try to curb my use of that word. However, I am less certain about my (allegedly) witty comments, such as the one in this thread, which I use to bring levity to otherwise boring threads. Are those verboten, too?

I am not looking to burn any bridges here. I just want to entertain the maximum number of people.

No no, it is not about restricting, it is about self-control. Witty comments are fine if they do not detract from the main topic. Things like posting absolutely OT things related to nothing about 5 times in a row, or repeatedly over the course of the topic's life is what I find unacceptable (an extreme example, but you should get me).

No, excuse that, I am just quite peeved at all this spamming nonsense and am quite wound up. I want this issue to be wrapped up in this thread and not spill over into other areas or wind up with people hating eachother or a split in the community.

I realize that, and you certainly do, however in the past your comments have led others to make 'witty' comments and it keeps escalating until the original topic has long gone and nobody posts there anymore except you and a couple of other people who were never interested in discussing anything important (that was just an example). Go right now to the Random Discussion area and read Cockney's 'guess the age of the person above you' post. That is the kind of spamming crap I am talking about - it will just continue on and that annoys me (started by OWA no less, will he learn I wonder?). Already the topic is deviating from its original purpose.

*sigh* this is getting into a situation where I don't exactly like watching it, but I will anyway and will provide as much help as a 16 year old can give in a time like this. Carry on.

k i didnt notice this, but heres my two pence.

I admit OWA and myself may go overboard, but i make a point to never spam a thread (and i use the word spam lightly here, you people have not seen spam, this place would collapse if true spam were to come, because of the large scope of this forum and the lack of active moderation) that has not been specifcally marked as nonsense. I keep my 'nonsense' to the random section, and i do post in the other sections, but i do not 'spam' them. even in the random section, i do not spam (aka post 10 messages in a row which do not contain viable sentences or on topic discussion) in places like the games, i post relevant to the games.

And im sorry but im apalled how werberts name was ever mentioned. You think he spams? Good god, naiveity. Werbert brings comic relief, he never posts more than 1 (rarely 2) posts in a row, and its always on topic, i cant belive his name was ever mentioned. and to mark - all i can say is get off your high horse mate, ''younger less intelligent aspies'' well,

i dont giv a flying squirrel how ''old and intelligent you are'' - im 16 years old, have an IQ in the range of 149-154 and skipped a year at school (in the UK of all places) if i am to have fun, lighten the mood by posting RANDOMNESS in yes the RANDOM section, BLOODY SHOOT ME kkthxbai.

People are aware i may spam, but i have self-control, something certain people DO NOT have when it comes to flaming. as for 'jenova' he is clearly a sock puppet, and i suspect the same identity as khadlikizea or whatever the hell he is called. I am very experienced in the user community of forums, spam/flame wars etc, so trust me when i say, this issue is NOTHING, compared to most places. think yourself lucky there is only 1 troll, who i can easily deal with and only 1 or 2 semi spammers, who only 'spam' by posting randomness in the random section. Read my posts. yes i may spam a few posts, but i reserve pure spam for threads OWA or myself have created, threads which are pure nonsense, i never disrupt the operation of the other threads or sections with what you naively consider 'spam'

and ask the opinons of those who frequent the random section - am i hated? not by the majoity, and those who dislike me are those who are too egotistical to consider posting in a 'random' section because of their enlarged e-peens and egos. OWA and myself have added extra flair to that particular section. And as for the 'outcast' debate, i really dont care, i am unique, we should not be categorizing people, altho i admit i do do similar things myself, but i dont consider myself part of a 'main' or 'outcast' group. I am a member of the 'garlic war/1337' group, but i am also a member of the 'random/forum/games/adolescant' group. but this does not stop me from having a discussion with the so called 'more intelligent' and quite frankly egotistical 'pure' members of WP who seem to think a nonsense post in the 'random' section constitutes 'spam' and this hullabaloo.

in conclusion i admit i may spam certain threads but i make a point never to disrupt the goings on in other threads or sections or deliberately ruin a thread unless it is already spam. imo owa and i have added a new dynamic to the section, of course owa can go overboard sometimes but he is younger than alot of us so ofc along with that comes overeagerness etc, but he is merely expressing himself, as am i. i consider myself a mix, or 'in between' or werbert and owa, and i am proud to say that.

Ah, so now it's attack me for the way I quote. I expected this kind of lame retaliation for voicing my opinions, whether agreed upon or not.

And no I do not need help thanks Bazza, I can do it fine. For your information (like you really care, this is just some low attack by you - well done!), a past member of the forums, who I became close too before he died, used to quote that way, so it is my way of paying tribute to him and remembering him. So sorry that I have annoyed you! Just skip my posts in future.

I have already made my apologies to people over this issue and will not raise it further. I have expressed my opinions and am done with it. It is in alex's hands now. There is no need for people to start attacking me over this (you know who you are, get a life).
