I'm from the south but hated it & moved to the north last year

It says I am 50/50. I've lived in Vermont my entire life and have only traveled to Maine once, Florida once, and Louisiana 3 times. (I don't consider going to New York as traveling. ;) ) That's not really a lot of traveling, in my opinion.

You are 50% Yankee, 50% Dixie.
You're a pretty even split of Yankee and Dixie. You've probably traveled around a lot in your life.

Most likely because I've never liked my food fried or used the word "y'all" in a conversation. My New York mom, on the other hand, is all about it. "All o' y'all," "both o' y'all," even "every y'all".. They certainly sound weird coupled with a Brooklyn accent.

You Are 100% Yankee, 0% Dixie

You're so Yankee, it's possible you've never even been to the South!

I don't even know what it means to be honest. :?

same result here

some questions I did not want to answer at all (I refuse to eat pickles at all) and as far as the question about what the civil war was about I answered it unemotionally while the judgment is on if you answer it emotionally. The fact is the war was about independence (know your history people, Lincoln offered the south to be able to keep slavery if they did not secede)

But I didn't even answer all the questions! I had to skip two questions (the seafood question because I haven't tried lobster or catfish before, and the walk-and-talk question because those things vary depending on my mood). I hate false-dichotomies.

In my case, the test wouldn't apply because I'm European. However, I have a feeling that my political ideas identify with the Yankee part of the nation.

Didn't take the test. I'm a Southerner, but 5 questions I have automatically different answer.

I like croppie and crab, not just lobster and ick to catfish or carp. I go to neither Targé nor Wallyworld if I have ANY other options in 10 mile radius.
I like my tea half/half. Or "sweetened" but not "Saweeteh" A cup sugar/pitcher is a bit much for me (yes that is ratio we used at Shoney's I believe our standard pitcher was 48oz). Walk talk thing.

And between WaffleHouse and Coffee house. Most coffee houses don't server food. I like breakfast at Waffle house when available because it is well lit, cheerful, and fast.. and waffles. Coffee house that are not small town are often pricey. So it is more a question of disposable income and likely age (They are not as kid friendly either) than location. And the south is hotter. Making coffee/hot tea further into a morning thing.

As earlier mentioned it is short and pointed like a phone survey and creates false dichotomy
