The two that I like that immediately came to my mind were Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix (15 minutes long!) and Kandy Korn by Captain Beefheart (8 minutes long). The Captain Beefheart one has more of an epic feel to it.

I wonder if this is the right place to also give a mention to one of my all-time favourites, E2-E4 by Manuel Gottsching, an album-length concept piece based around the game of chess. :)

Perhaps you could give some more guidelines on what you mean by epic? Big-sounding? Great length? Covering a large theme or large number of themes? Moving and deep? Or is it up to us to decide?

Of what I posted earlier, this song is the one that truly defines epic for me:

Part 2 is where all the really good stuff is, but it's amazingly thought out as a large piece of music (album version is 18 minutes long, and not a dull second). Best drumming I've ever heard in a song, too.

(I prefer the album version personally but couldn't find it on the 'tube)

Really amazed on the rock that no one's mentioned Tool so far? They're loaded, as was Alice In Chains (with Lane Staley still in the game). You also have a few tunes like Love In Vein, Killing Game, and Mirrorsaw by Skinny Puppy, Babylon by PWEI, The Real Thing by Faith No More, ST had many as well if you can handle Mike Muir's voice.

Electronic is absolutely loaded though as hitting epic peaks seems like one of its primary points. A few examples with dnb (I kept away from dark jungle as that list could go on for pages):
