MP3 players are incredible, as are online music services... Just having music in such a convenient form is enough to spoil you and make life livable at the same time. My iPod certainly has improved grocery shopping. Sometimes I think they choose store music with the goal of driving customers away... A mystifying concept.

And I think many of us here have had teachers who really seemed to have it in for us. As a parent, I find it especially discouraging to know how many teachers never grew up.

I HATE most new music in the UK, it's got as much talent and care for grammar as a three year old combined with sexual and stereotypical images of the perfect man and woman. I mean 'I did you right, yeah you know I did you right, all times during the night I did you right'
ARGH!
My hates at the moment that follow me around is justin beiber (fag), miley cyrus and pixie lott

I think the music is sometimes chosen to torture employees in shopping centres.

This is so true - I've actually left stores because of the music they were playing, so very irritating. I'm starting to take my iPod with me everywhere and it's wonderful.

I can't stand, "Never Gonna Let You Go". That song brings back worse memories, than The Beatles.

"Doom Bop" by Hanson
Ugh! I was ten or eleven at the time and in fourth grade and all the other little girls (and even some of the boys) were going gaga over them. I couldn't figure it out. I wanted to punch them and knock some sence into them. I was the only one who would at least admit they did not like them. Back in the early 2000's when old singers and bands were releasing new albums, I would often joke that if Hanson came back I was going to kill myself. I can't remember if they ever did. I remember watching a race with my dad and they sung the anthem and looked just as bad as they did in 98 and sounded much worse.

I never understood the appeal of "boy bands". I did have a crush on a singer as a teen but the singer was no longer in his prime and was somewhat lacking in the hair department. My older brother will never let me forget having a crush on no other than Phil Collins. Still I never went gaga over him like the NT girls did over N'Sync, Backstreet Boys and Hanson.

I've actually tried mentioning it, just wondering how the employees could stand it. They get so they don't even hear it. I guess they'd have to!

"Like Lovers Holding on" by Texas. It's on the Titan A.E. soundtrack and in the end credits. Titan A.E. is a special intrest of mine but I feel like my head will explode when I hear this. You can hear it for like two seconds in the movie as the girl is showing her collection of earth artifacts to the boy but only if you truely pay attention. So annoying. I have every song from the soundtrack except this one but it dosen't bother me because I hate this song so much.
