I am! I'm in my 50's. I was a little young to appreciate it at the time, but I had older siblings who were the right age to enjoy the British Invasion. They were playing the music and I heard it. PBS (here in the US) might still be broadcasting a special about music of that era on the Ed Sullivan show. I do remember seeing the Beatles live on his "really big shew." Rolling Stone magazine's web site now has a list of (their opinion) the top 100 "guitar songs" with justification and links to audio and video of the performances. Many are from that era. So far, I checked out the Yardbirds. Early electric guitar wizardry at its finest!

I recently realized that roughly 90% of the albums I own were made by British musicians! 8O (Just to add - I'm more of an album person than a song person, so physical products all the way.) I swear I had no idea while I was collecting them. It may have something to do with my prog leanings. Anyway, these are my favourite British rock bands:
Pink Floyd
Radiohead
Porcupine Tree
Muse
Camel
Gong (well, half French)
Coldplay (their early stuff, emphatically)
The Police
King Crimson
Newton Faulkner (not really rock? more accoustic)

I'm right back into the British Rock again, after being in a black area for two and a half years. 8)

I forgot to list some of my British favorites. I have albums (mostly CD's) of the following. These are in no particular order. I know these are not all part of the British invasion.

Beatles
Rolling Stones
Who
Van Morrison (Irish but Ireland is part of the British Isles)
Cream
Supertramp
Kinks
Yes
Emerson, Lake and Palmer
King Crimson
Brian Ferry
Brian Eno
Roxy Music
Elton John (early albums)
Harry Nilsson
801
Pink Floyd
Bonzo Dog Band
Moody Blues (early albums)
many more

British Invasion influenced groups:
most other subsequent groups
Byrds
Turtles
Buffalo Springfield
(Some) Beachboys

Influences on the British Invasion:
Chuck Berry
Little Richard
other R&B artists

I guess mine are roughly 50% British, 40% American, 10% everywhere else. I'm more a fan of othergenre-rock than straight rock.

Don't think anyone mentioned The Pretty Things yet, they're from that time period. SF Sorrow is a very strange album!

No need to notice... aside from 'In The Air Tonight' and a couple more songs on his first solo effort, his musical output has been complete and utter shite.

British rock is the best music ever made. My personal favorite artists from this genre are the Moody Blues, the Electric Light Orchestra, Jethro Tull, Sir Elton John, Al Stewart, the Beatles, the Alan Parsons Project, and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.

I thought the so-called British Invasion was over by the end of the 60s.

There was a time a few years back when most of my favourite stuff was by British (so-called) indie bands of the 80s, like The Smiths, The Cure and The Stones Roses.

When it comes to 60s rock, I do like some of those British bands (especially The Yardbirds), but the stuff I like the most was (for some reason) mostly by American acts, like Jimi Hendrix, Captain Beefheart and The Doors. Well, only those three really. And maybe The Byrds, if only for 'Eight Miles High'.

The Zombies are indeed a fantastic group. Rod Argent was the Jon Lord of his day, just simply a badass keyboardist. Blunstone's vocals are cool too. It's a shame they didn't stay together for very long, and when it comes to Brit rock groups of the sixties, one of my top favorites.

As with the Beatles, it's obvious how many lists they're gonna appear on. But I'm huge Beatles fan, so I'm down wit dat.

I also admire Cockney's becoming a Kinks fan. I need to get me some more of their music, I'm lacking in that department. The Lola Vs. Powerman And The Moneygoround album is great, though. And in my opinion One For The Road is one of the best live albums out there.

Obviously the thread isn't going decade or Invasion specific, so I'm gonna agree with that list on the previous thread full of the metal. As with recent years, I'm gonna mention Oasis (shame, shame... :x ), and definitely The Answer (I know they're Irish, but isn't Ireland part of the UK? Still don't know if the UK as a whole counts in this thread).

The Republic of Ireland is an independent state and emphatically not part of the UK (though relations between the British and Irish governments are generally good), Northern Ireland is part of the UK. Ireland, Britain and the various other islands are collectively part of the British Isles, although some people believe that the geographical term implies ownership in some way (which perhaps it did - two or three thousand years ago when the name was made! ) and so don't like it.

There are lots of bands which are mixed British/Irish both in composition and in musical style/influences, they're hardly British Invasion but surely British rock.
