Does anyone remember when the Israeli army rescued hostages from Entebbe Airport (I think in the late 70's). That was cool. I think that inspired Pres. Carter to try to rescue american hostages from Iran, but without the same sort of success.


My Bible says Judea, later the area was called Palestine. Funny though, there was never a country Palestine or any Palestinians. I understand what is now Israel was formerly Jordan and Arabia so the peoples would be Jordanian or Arab rather than Palestinian.

Palestine was a name the Romans gave to Israel/Judea after they drove out the Jews. The Romans also renamed Jerusalem, calling it Aelia Capitolina. Later, when the Arabs moved into the region, they kept the name Palestine, rather that giving the region their own name. That's why this name still exists today.

Jordan is located west of modern-day Israel and Saudi Arabia is farther west still. Those people's nationality is Arab, because they descended form the Arabs who moved into the region sometime after 400 AD.

Mossad would kill you with a teacup, but only if you are a terrorist. Giving terrorists a taste of their own medicine is awesome.

Israel has the best-looking girls in the world! Not only that, I actually got to dance with a few of them in a club. And they're everywhere you look. Did I mention how hot they are?

Both. The US is place where the US Jews have lived all their life. Israel is a place where the Jewish religion was established. So for myself personally (don't know about other Jews in the US), my loyalty is to both countries, each for a different reason. My first loyalty, however, would be the US, since it gives people the freedom of religion, as evident from the churches, synagogues, mosques, and other houses of worship you find in many cities.
