Does a parsnip taste like a turnip?? I tried one once, thinking it would be bland, and it was spicy ! !!

I wouldn't say like a turnip exactly, but they have such a great smell raw,a bit like wood mixed with petro-chemicals. Maybe I've got an odd sense of smell  But they are delicious roasted.

what is a macho banana?

It's a type of banana, the biggest type of banana. A macho banana without cooking has a bitter taste, so I prefer eating them fried or microwaved.

In mexico this type of banana is known as "plátano macho". I don't know it has an english translation :?

When you cook them, they lose their bitterness and have a special sweet taste. Also, it depends of the way you cook them, and the ingredients you use.

Sometimes my mom add some sliced macho bananas to the vegetable & chicken soup, and they absorb the flavors of all the soup, delicius! yum yum!

Hostess white-powdered mini donuts ("donettes"); I usually just open my mouth, tilt my head back, and dump the entire 11.5 ounces out of the bag and down my throat in a single swallow.
