Another friend of mine is from New Zealand. I don't talk to her much, but she has the most gorgeous accent. :)

It's a kiwi chick! Cute, eh? they're from New Zealand. Kiwi is also a slang term for a person from New Zealand. :)
(Um, no offense intended of course, KBABS... )

For both of your sakes, I hope neither one of you is a crazed, serial-killer/rapist like I am.

By the way, does anyone want to meet me? :D

*ahem* It's KBABZ, not KBABS. I'll tell you why: KBABZ is an acronym of all the main characters in my story:

Koise
Booger
Aiko
Bob
Zoe

Get it? I use this for all my internet usernames, so if you see it, you know it'll be me! (you'd be surprised at how often I can get away with that!) Oh, and thanks for the pic! I named one of my mum's quails Kiwi, because it was the biggest one we had.

Oh and werbert, we aren't crazed serial killers, although I have stepped on a bug or two by accident. Does that count?

Hmph. I eat bugs for breakfast. They're the appetizer to warm me up for the kitten flambe.

As long as we're talking about you two, I have to ask how you pronounce your names. Can I call you Kebabs, or do you want each letter of your name prounounced, given that it is an acronym? And is Starbuline pronounced Star-byoo-line, Star-buh-line, or what? I could use some answers here.

Sure!! So long as you can tolerate the presence of a butt-pirate like myself, I don't see a problem.

BTW, how far of a walk is it to your place??

Well, for my username, it's really pronounced as if it were spelt K-babs, but then it's not the acronym I intended it to be, and many websites don't allow a '-' in the names. 'Star-buh-line' would be the correct way to say Starbuline's username. As for our real names, I'll leave it to you to ask us.

We've been trying our best to get the Kiwi off the endangered list, and they should be off the list by now. Other endangered New Zealand animals include

The Kakapo (a mix of an owl and a parrot sort of bird, being the heaviest of the parrot family and being nocturnal)
Image

And the Tuatara (my favourite, it was around in the dinosaur age and was related to them, so it's technically a dinosaur!)

There's the funniest game at our local museum called Te Papa (means 'Our Place' in Maori). Basically, you choose different body bits of birds and put them together. You can put the wings of a seagull onto the body of a NZ eagle that has the legs of a Kiwi, the tail of a fantail and the head of a Pipi bird!
