There, now it's done officially. And, because I've noticed that I've got 1,000+ posts, I'll change my title to suit.

When I found out I had Aspergers, I had great relief. Finally I could pursue a course of action and better myself. I am 46 year old mother of two, married 21 years to my husband. Here I am amoungst others that are like me and others that live with or know an 'aspie.'
I have never felt so comfortable around a group of people than on here. Very kind and sometimes silly, it is like having a second family.
I will gladly sign any petition to Save WrongPlanet. If this site were gone, I think that I would probably get depressed and wonder where I would turn to for support.

Stupid question: How do we sign this petition of which you speak? Does posting on this thread constitute signing or am I missing something?

Well, yeah, you do just post saying you sign. If you want it to look flash, put it in a fake quote, like this:

WP is a very open site. People can be supportive or jokey or sometimes a bit mad, and that's why it is such a great place. If it was sterile and patronising then no-one would gain anything from being here.

Closing down this site would cause far more misery than the original tragedy did. Some people are beyond help, and sometimes s**t just happens, and WP cannot be held responsible. Especially as WP naturally attracts people who are depressed, obsessive and argumentative... they're called "Aspies" I believe.....

Any updates on this alex?

This whole thing sounds like it's about generating income for alex. I don't see what the big deal is since the lawsuit against WP is likely to be dismissed in pre-trial hearings.
