have u ever played a wii before? all the ps3 has is a blu-ray, wich is unreliable and a huge price tag ($400 usd), where teh wii has motion sensiteve controler(s), origional contert(OMG) and is only $250 usd

I don't want to play a Wii. None of the games on it will ever appeal to me.

I won't say which is better between Wii or PS3, but XBOX360 is behind them because it lacks a motion sensing device. Silly, I know, but other than that, it's equal with the other two.

I'm going for a PS3 for these reasons:

I've grown up with PS for as long as I can remember, and it'd be a bit of a hassle switching.
It can backtrack to old PS1 and PS2 games, so I can play them with better quality and speed.
The Wii has a controller setup I'm unused to.
The PS3, while it is considered a rip-off, also has motion-sensing in it's controller. While I think it's neat that you can do things like swing the sword in Twilight Princess by moving the remote in a similar fashion, I'd rather use a controller for that purpose.
It can now play MP3 CD's and other things, it has a Hard Drive now, and it can connect with my PSP.

I'm basically getting a PS3 because I've set myself up for it. There's nothing coming from me to stop you getting a Wii, and I respect, even envy, your decision.

how do u no that? teh wii is gonna have more games then the 6 or so launch titles it has now. i also seem to recall hearing

KBABZ: i agree, the 360 is behind the other two. its been out for over a year and i havent heard crap about it. teh wiis controlls are really easy to pick up. im not trying to influence your decision; if u want a ps3, get one cuz its not affectin me much.

Nintendo 64 = best console ever. everything after that from nintendo wasnt very good. gamecube was OK, wii however = nope. i willl not be buying one, it just doesnt seem right, remote controls and weird adverts showing familys playing tennis.... PC is my favourite gaming platform, and always will be, however out of the 3 new ones, if i were to get 1, it would be the ps3, simply cos of its choice of games xD

I personally can't understand why people get so excited about video game consoles...

Get one in a year when the price has gone down and there are more games available.

PC's PWN console's though i still like sony.

i have teh wii and i no the marvels it is capable of. the virtual console alone is enough to make it 1337er then 1337.

I DO NOT want a Wii. I love my slim line PS2, and I'm not replacing it.

theres no reason to get rid of ur ps2. i can do pretty much everything the ps3 can do.

indeed, its the only console i still use (altho i play orignal smash bros on the 64 somtimes ^_^)
