Only once or twice........

girls yes, girls im attracted to not for a couple of years, except once this summer but that didnt end well at all

interestingly ive never had trouble just talking to women.

Not yet 20, but I try and I know I'm doing it wrong because the lady will usually give me looks of contempt/disgust later on.
Thankfully still learning.
I've noticed I've finally developed an understanding/interest in these things.
Also, it seems most people start thinking about this like beginning of high school, it's teasable by grade 10 if you're not thinking about it, but most people don't have it easy till adulthood, like 16+.
Anyone know the average age of a man's first sexual experience is 17?

So, yeah, I've talked to girls/women all my life, but haven't started making attempts to flirt till recently.

Turning 12, 13 years old, hitting puberty, it really changes the game.

then high school comes along, and you're like adults now,gotta be considerate. sucks man, wish we could be kids forever.

I haven't had any difficulty with just talking with women. It is everything else that I have had poor luck with.

You?d need to have spent your whole life so far in some secluded, male-only environment to avoid ever talking with one.

In my teen years, I quite often found myself forced to talk to them, and always had un unsettling, very vague feeling that I was doing something egregiously wrong because I couldn?t just treat them the same way I?d treat boys. I certainly could have used some education on the matter. Of course, I probably made about as many social foul-ups with boys, too.

One concept I?ve never grasped is that of ?invisibility?. You can?t be invisible to girls when you?re not only significantly bigger than most of them, but also terribly awkward at choosing the right place to stand or walk through, so people keep bumping into you, and there are frequent uncomfortable instances of you both trying to step aside to the same side (the best strategy I?ve come up with for the latter case is to freeze the first time it happens, so the other person can choose their way, but even this doesn?t always prevent the situation from lasting on the order of ten embarrassing seconds).

Did you attend an all-boys high school?

Do you currently attend an all-male college?

Has every single job -- summer, full time, part time, whatever -- you have ever held been in an all-male environment?

Does every single store you shop in (clothes, groceries, computers, etc) have an all-male hiring policy?

Has every single activity you've participated in been in an all-male environment? No coed softball, teacher assigned a girl or two to your robot contest team?

Did all of your high school friends live ONLY with their dads and have ONLY brothers (no sisters)?

It's pretty much impossible to have NEVER EVER had a conversation with a girl in the US.

Talked to girls? Yes. Many times, over the years. Perhaps not very well, or confidently, but I've done it.

Kissed one, had a gf or anything of the sort? No, never. I turned 32 the other day.

I am 20 years old in second year of University. I last time talked with a girl outside of my family when I was in 4th grade. I don't know what happened but it's just really scary to even look girls in the eye for me. I am really self cautious around girls and I have never in my whole life initiated to talk to a girl. I really want to talk to girls as that is only experience missing from my life. I don't know what the f**k is wrong with me. I am really depressed over it. Please help me

I can relate in a way. I wasn't allowed to have guy friends when I was growing up, so it took me some time to feel comfortable talking to men. Now I'm just as uncomfortable talking to men as I am talking to women.

Anyway, you need to find a way to stop viewing them as The Other. They are just people, like you are. I'd suggest looking for opportunities to engage in casual conversation with women and build from there. Maybe even talking to women online could be helpful.

If you ever feel uncomfortable talking to the opposite sex, just imagine them naked and vulnerable, crouched over the toilet having a poop.

If you really think about, other people are animals on some level, just like you are.
