I agree with Sedaka, maybe a change in your diet might help. A high fiber diet is suppose to stiffen up stool and keep you regular. You should consult a doctor regarding this as soon as possible. There might be a simple solution to this that a doctor knows about and you are suffering without need because you have not gone to see one yet, considering all the meds on the market they may have something to help with this. I know there will be something that can help you because I'm sure many people have this problem, it's just that most are not as brave as you to talk about it.

If anybody turns on me, because of this, I won't be crying my eyes out. I've done all of that, yesterday. I have no more tears to cry, over this particular issue. 8)

Good for you, because if anyone turns on you because of something you can't help then they are not worth knowing anyway. Have you been to see a doctor about this? Because they may be able to help at least calm it down so that it isn't so troublesome for you.

I'm planning on doing that.

Oh, no! That's an awful thing to have to go through. At times, I'll be sitting at the computer and I have to run to the bathroom to avoid something embarrassing happening.

I feel for ya hun, honestly, I do. This sounds terrible. All I know to do is offer you advice to go see a doctor, or if need be an x ray doctor. They can probably put you on some medicine to correct it or something... Either that or they can do surgery. But whatever happens my hopes are with you.

I get that urgency a lot, and there have been times that it was dangerous to sneeze or laugh. I think a lot of us are a lot closer to Rebel's condition than we care to admit. I've had one accident while awake, some close calls, and one while asleep. It's all this crap that they put in the food we eat.

Cockney,

I wouldn't call myself the med expert that can answer whatever your tummy troubles stem from, but could it be there are some foods you shouldn't or can't eat?

For starters I seriously question those so-called No Trans Fat snack foods or anything with that "Olestra" in it. The last time I ate some potato chips cooked in that stuff, I had a flare-up and had to stay home until it ran its course.

I've done some dietary tweaks of my own and found a way to keep my gut troubles under control without any traditional medical intervention. No dairy unless its from goat, no pork, no luncheon meats, no canned food other than fish, lots of "rabbit food", etc...

Although I still get the uncommon flare-up, it is nothing like back in the days I had to have every public toilet in the area scoped out ahead of time before going out anywhere.

You (and anybody with these gut issues) can PM me if you have any Q's

Remnant, I think you're right. That's why sh** happens when we eat it

I have an update! I haven't been to the doctors, yet. Having said I've learned to live with my situation, for the time being. Most of my accidents happen in the first four hours that I'm up, from five to nine, in the morning so I don't die of too much embarrassment, when I'm out in public. I still like to wear Depends, in case such a thing does happen in public, which it hasen't, yet. I was just worried that no man would want to be with a woman with my problem, as Females are supposed to be The Cleaner Sex. My mood has improved, tremendously, over the past seven days. I'm back in the Cockney Spirit. I just want all of you to know that I'm still the same person that I was, before I've started this topic. I'm sure that you can tell that I'm still the same person, by reading my posts. I also want you to know that I'm not ret*d. People age in different parts of their bodies, at different ages and in different ways. It's apparent that I have a very sharp mind, when I have something sensible to post, that isn't about Buses, Sex, or my touchy emotions. I'm sure that you could tell, when one of my proper posts show up, out of the blue. I think my mind will be sharp for the many decades that I have left. My stubborn system is ageing a lot faster than my brain, and I can deal with that. :)

Fair enough, but I think you should test everything you eat for breakfast, or eat supper items for breakfast and see what happens. I get explosive diarrhea from drinking coffee, so I don't dare touch it, and loose stools from most breakfast items, colas, and hot chocolate. Tea seems to be relatively safe, and unless medically contraindicated, salty foods often help me to form solid stools. I also have a lot better digestion when I don't drink sodas.

When you say that it happens in the morning, I suspect that you drink coffee or postum or something in the morning that may be high in caffeine, sugars, or irritants. If you are free of the problem after lunch, it is almost certainly something that you eat for breakfast.

I'll give that a try.

Sometimes I think I'm about to pass gas and discover I was in error. Does this happen to anyone?
