when i was in last time. i called the patient advocte and told her about me being aspergers. She totally got it. She had friends who are aspies and knew that tons of aspies are unfairly thrown in mental wards every year. She knew that that autism spectrem looked like various mental problems to someone who didnt know better. she just needed a piece of paper saying i was apergers. fortunaly i had seen a nueropsycologist who specialized in non verbal learning disorders and autism spectrem for reasons unrelated to being as. i took a test and he confirmed me being as. . the advocates hands were tied. she could not advocate for anything. If my mom had just said aspergers the advocate could of had me out. she could have said he needs a social skills group not psychotropics overrruled the doctor had the drugs withdrawn and had had me out in a day 5 months ago and i would be alot healthy. but no because of that i had rot in that place for 4 months while my health deteriotated. now the advocate has nothing to work with .
