I'm glad you're feeling better Sopho...I can relate to feeling sorry for yourself...oftentimes I feel that way as well...when I feel empty inside, I find nature to be extremely nurturing...like trees, meadows, animals and plants...and cats definitely!! I hope you feel happy...

Depression doesn't need a "good" cause. It doesn't need any cause. It also isn't worthwhile to compare your suffering to that of others. Suffering is suffering is suffering. Nobody deserves it more than anyone else, nobody deserves to be free from it more than anyone else.

It isn't selfish to want to feel better.

Yay! Exactly right! Give those cats a cuddle, and then go for a long walk. Even though you are feeling low, you are also reflecting on your life since September.

You are also bored, waiting for uni to start.

You can't force depression away but you are taking the right steps already. Go get 'em girl! And go outside.
