As for Nordic participation, there is a local forum called Aspergerforum.se, most people from my neck of the woods hang around there, but i prefer speaking English so...

A lot of people have fake or joke locations on their profile or leave it blank. Which is fine, but it makes it hard to know what country everyone is from.

Yeah, the joke locations people have gets on my nerves. It's much easier to give advice to people if you know where they're from, same with age and gender. That will save the OP of threads having to keep adding this information in their posts.

Some people don't want others to know their exact location. It's because of internet security.

I would like to know where somebody is from, too.

But I can't expect them to reveal their location on the Internet.

Not their exact location. Just what country they live in.

I've seen people get uncomfortable even with revealing their country.

HELLOOOO....notice the obvious.

That we all are having this conversation in English.

That betrays American domination right there.

The fact that we are conversing in English is due to English colonialism. "The sun never sets on the British Empire." English is the closest thing Earth has to a universal language; it's the language of international aviation; it has even replaced Latin to some degree as the language of science.

The USA is probably the wealthiest and most successful of the English former colonies, but that doesn't mean it dominates in everything. And I wouldn't want it to.

you're just rehashing the very thing I said!

The British Empire dominated the world for a long time, and now the US does, and the legacy of both empires is that English is still the global lingua franca.
