For those who complain about WP being "dull" or "boring":

What have you contributed lately to make WP more interesting?

I don't care if I am interesting or not. I post for the sake of my own personal satisfaction. If others get something out of it, all the better. But I don't care all that much if anyone likes or responds to what I write. There are several threads I have started that I don't even go back to.

People can remain "long in the tooth" for a long time.

There are people who look and act "elderly" for quite an extended period of time.

Jo, is it that in the past WP was a more robust place of support for you, and now not so much? Do you just miss it or do you need to drum up additional support elsewhere?

As I may have written, I was greatly distressed by a situation and my support board was "quiet" (relative to my need). It was a hard time. It's that intense Focus thing too.

You don't reply to peoples' posts, and don't ask them questions about themselves.

Still, this place isn't as active compared to what it used to be. 10 or so years ago (I really don't remember) there used to be 10+ pages when clicking the, "View Posts Since Last Visit" link.

Ezra is "interesting in his uninterestingness."

I really don’t think you’re a “boring” person, Jo.

Hmm...

What are some interesting things that we could talk about?

Some ideas:

Umbrellas
The air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow
Metaphysical poetry

(Well, maybe not Metaphysical poetry...)

If that is referring to me, I do actually.

That's OK, I was in a crappy mood when I started this thread.

I almost bought an umbrella at Home Depot Saturday but the tag had cancer and fertility warnings and I couldn't readily figure out in which way so left the umbrella in the wood boards section. I would really like a new umbrella. It doesn't rain here much so the stores don't carry them, or if they do the selection is small. I used to have a ducky umbrella. Where I grew up there were fantastic thunderstorms.

Wow! Who knew buying umbrellas could be so intense? “I’ll keep you dry, but I might give you cancer. Hee hee hee [laughed maliciously].”

I’ve never owned an umbrella, except when I was 6. It was clear but had little pandas on it. I liked watching the raindrops fall on it.

I recently read Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams, so now I’ve been imagining all sorts of absurd dreams involving umbrellas.

Any interesting interpretations of your own dreams? My mom told me that water represents emotions and during a tough time I had a lot of dreams of floods and drowning. I also had the dreams of failed car breaks and falling off buildings. You know, the typical, right? Recently my dreams are fairly tame.
