Some articles claim that a paradigm of autism is the extreme male mind

A lot more males than females have autism diagnosis

In this case Chaotichemme is claiming autism is there gender.

From what I have read autism and gender is a very complex thing.

That's because of stereotyping. Most autistic women mask more than autistic men because they are socialized differently. In fact there is a statistic correlation between the transgender community (both male assigned and female assigned) and autism.

The concept of “autigender” is not well developed but deserves more credit than it is being here. Usually the claim is “my experience of my gender identity is tightly bound to my experience of being autistic; I can only understand gender through the lens of autism; being autistic makes me experience gender in a particular way”. There are a few different models but you might think of it as like alexithymia but for gender.

It's good to have a your opinion,the post was meant to be a dialogue and not the mockery making it turned out to be.

If your interested you can find the subject of the post " chaotichemme" on twitter,instagram and tic tok.Most of of what's on youtube is like how this post turned out and mainly mocks them,mainly Kalvin Garrah and Blaire White (who mock everyone anyway) and thanks for the positive perspective

If so then ADHD should be "a gender", and Williams Syndrome should be another gender, and socippathy should be another gender, and Downs syndrome should be a gender, and schizophrenia should be a gender, and bipolar should be a gender, and.... hey WAIT A MINUTE..

Autism, and each of those other conditions have a population that is itself subdivided into male and female, so..

Autism should be TWO genders! Male autistics and female autistics....oh!...and transgender autistics. So that's THREE genders.

So ..autism should be three genders, and ADHD should be three genders, and Downs should be three, and …..

adding up to 9761 genders, and counting! :D

I know autism appears to be different and often go unnoticed in girls and women, but it's not a gender. Female is my gender.

I don't think that you know what transgender means. Transgender is not a gender, it is a description of how one's gender may be different than the one they were assigned at birth, and their genders may be male, female or non binary. Non Binary being anything from genderfluid, agender, androgynous or otherwise gender non conforming.

My suspicion would be that if someone felt separated from gender as would be the case that they are calling autism as their gender, that would mean they are possibly trans, and may be some form of non binary. Non binary having a lot of sub categories.

Obvious question: Does having Coronavirus change your gender? What about it's different mutations?

The idea of autism as a gender is about the most stupid thing I have ever heard of.

No, those people can stop RIGHT NOW before linking autism with the crazy nutjobs who are LOONEY and militant in their tactics in MAKING people accept there are however many genders they've built up now.

F*cking stupid idea. They can f*ck right off, stop being so ridiculous and confusing people over what autism actually is.
