When threads devolve into bickering, the moderators will often lock them to decrease the chances that the bickering will go so far that they're forced to dispense disciplinary action towards users.

If you don't want your threads to be locked, you'd do best not to engage in bickering with other users on them. If a user tries to provoke you, or makes a personal attack, your best course of action is to either ignore them or report the situation to a moderator.

There's no need to be insulting; we're on the same side here.  My answer to the OP is honest -- it is the truth.  The explanation is also truthful, and everything after "I hope" is a reasonable extrapolation of foreseeable events.

I won't get into it but there have been lawsuits in the past,Alex likely has insurance to cover these things,all that would happen is an out of court settlement and Alex's insurance would go up for a few years.
