I'm so sick of David Beckham. Why is this man newsworthy? He got an obscene contract so he could sit on the bench with his 'sore' ankle(Offensive Linemen Jack Youngblood once played in a conference championship game with a broken leg, yet Beckham can't get off the bench because he's sore?), he gets off the bench for 22 minutes, doesn't score at all, and I have to hear about it non-stop when I'm just looking for some football scores. Soccer is filled with players who constantly dive and cry, and there is not enough scoring. I thought we had accepted that this was the opinion of most Americans and had moved on, the same way that there is little hope that any country other than Germany would appreciate American football, or in the same way that it would do exceptionally little good to introduce curling to Malawi.

Well now you know how some of us feel in the u.k.

LOL Yeah, even now they've moved to the US, they're STILL on tv over here all the time. It's not like you can avoid it either, they're even on the news ffs. :?

David Beckham is such a sexy hunk! I'm sick of his wife though.

Generic reply: My favourite sport rocks, it's your favourite sport that sucks!

And besides American "Football" isn't a cheap ratty arsed knock off of the beatiful game... it's a cheap ratty arsed knock off of the sport played in heaven. Rugby.

I find Beckham to be a bit boring to be honest.
Does Vicky decide on Dave's selection of clothes or something???

And your game is just a bastardized version of Buzkashi, only it isn't played on horseback, or with a headless cow. You're not the only one that can draw comparissons between games without adknowledging the huge differences between them.

David Beckham is not the most interesting person in the world, for sure, but Zinedane of France won the award for all time bad sportsmanship with his headbutting act. What a dumb way to go out!

Get used it Americans, he's there to stay! I heard most US folk don't care about him anyway, only a novelty. But MLS games are selling out when the Galaxy go to town.

Yes, and Green Bay fans have season tickets passed down through their wills. Selling out a game is not a big deal. Christ, towns like Ann Arbor will pack 120,000 into their stadiums for games.

I love football, but I hate watching the men play because most of them are whining divas. They get lightly touched, and they flop around on the ground like they were full-on tackled. That and they get paid way too much. I much prefer to watch the women play. They get tackled, and they get right back up and keep on playing. They don't get paid outrageous amounts of money, either. The style of play is much more interesting to me.

Moreover, you can't make the claim that your athletes are better, seeing as we have kickers that can nail field goals from 64 yards(with or without prosthetic feet). Yes, they can actually aim and find the area between the goalposts. If they were ever 10 or 20 feet to the left, they'd be fired.

There's a difference between them. Kickers in American football kick a stationary ball, while being protected by an offensive line. I'd love to see them try it after running around for 90 minutes, and having to kick a ball with a keeper between the goalposts. Let's see how accurate they are then.
