Technically yes, I think the real issue is a lot of times it's not two consenting adults that are peers. Like a lot of times it's a predatory 35+ guy looking for a young naive 18-20 year old who grew up sheltered and isn't very good at setting boundaries because they know that person is less likely to question their awful and controlling behavior...because they don't know any better. Sure, the young woman 'consented', but that doesn't mean it's a healthy relationship and the 40 year old guy wasn't a predator looking for prey.


Older women have preyed on 18-20 year old men to, but at least on reddit I see a lot more posts from women in that kind of situation. So, I've just seen more from that perspective.

Good point. However I don't think that the guy being a lot older should be as much of a concern if the guy is autistic. Us autistics are known for being naive, being behind our peers with lots of various mildstones, & majorly struggling in life. Us getting in relationships with NTs our own age can lead to concern & controversy about us being preyed upon. I'm just saying that in the OP's case or with most other autistic guys I would not worry about them being the older one in a relationship.
