No I am Church of Christ not Eastern Orthodox.



What's Church of Christ? like the United Church of Christ (UCC)?


No its way different than United Church of Christ.

I plan on, converting to Eastern Orthodox Christianity from Protestantism. My understanding is that, the Eastern Orthodox Church has a lot in common' with the Roman Catholic Church. I have known People that' were born into' and raised and a part of, Protestant Churches that became Eastern Orthodox.

There's also Eastern Protestant Christianity.

There's similarities between the EOC and the RCC, but they have doctrinal differences. Which Christian sects are most alike probably depends on how one is evaluating them.

I'm not Orthodox, but since you're considering Eastern traditions, I'd encourage you to look into Eastern Catholicism. Roman Catholicism is the only Western Rite; but there are nearly 2 dozen Eastern Rites.

If there are Byzantine or Maronite Catholic Churches near you, please pop in for Divine Liturgy. It's truly beautiful and reverent. :heart: :heart: :heart:
