Here's another: Women who do "the droop." God I cannot stand this. I don't know why. But it's when a woman bends one arm at the elbow so that the forearm is about parallel to the ground, and lets her hand droop or hang limp, as she's walking about. Occasionally she'll do this with both arms. It looks EFFING STUPID.

And no, it's not an autism T-rex thing. I've seen the autism version, and it's NOT the same. Not at all. The women I've seen do this in person are NT.

I've also seen NT women on reality shows doing this. It's also scripted into TV shows (unless the actress takes it upon herself to droop during a scene? Don't know if the director has them doing this).

My NT niece does it all the time on her social media videos. I wouldn't be caught dead doing it.

People who have their screen set as white on black. I know with autistic people it's to do with sensory issues but I can't stand reading white text on a black background, it gives me a headache.

"There are more ways to shuffle a pack of 12 cards than there are grains of sand on every beach in the world".

I hate this fact! Ugh, it just CAN'T be right. I mean, I get that there are billions of ways to shuffle a pack of 12 cards but surely there must be like trillions and zillions of grains of sand. The earth is bigger than what we think it is. Vast.

The quote is WRONG. I'll tell you precisely how many ways there are to shuffle a pack of 12 cards: 12 to the 12th power. This is 8.9 trillion. I have to believe there are more than 8.9 trillion grains of sand on every single beach in the world.

Phew, thank you! :) I kept hearing this stupid facts in various places and it was really annoying me, even though I don't have a mathematical mind, something still told me that it's wrong to underestimate the amount of grains of sand on every beach on this enormous planet.

I dont understand what you mean, in the title of the post it is : "for no particular reason" and in the text of the corresponding post it is the opposite "for particular reason". The answers would not be the same. And anyway you perfectly identifies the reasons why you hate cereals and the other thing (which I don't know exactly what it is). So it seems like the "for particular reason" wins in your mind, but I'm not sure.

From my side, when I notice some stupid thing I do (for instance always replying to birds who are singing in my garden), I will torture my mind until I'm capable to find an "at least reasonably convincing" reason why I do this (e.g. I'm just trying to make friend with them or trying to convince them that some of the humans would like to make friends with them and show them that humans are not only cruel creatures, and so on ..., well indeed I don't fully consider myself as human, but this is another debate). Finally, there are no identified stupid things I do "for no particular reason" , otherwise, I would have found a reason for them when they stop to be unnoticed. This is maybe just the signature of a tortured mind.

^ Yeah I think this is the same as the "pet peeves" thread maybe.

For this you may just compare the volume of a single sand grain (let say e.g. half millimeter power 3) and the estimated volume of your favorite beach (let say 3 km long 200 m wide and I don't know smthg like 20 m thick. That is 10^(-10) m3 versus 10^7 m3, hence about 10^(17) sand grains in this particular beach.

Not only cereal but also halvah - I HATE it with the whole passion, eewwww. And my mother in turn LOVES eating halvah. I also hate butter - just like my father (whom I don't know, I saw the old bastard just twice in my life and every time it was in the court because he didn't want to pay alimony to me).

I hadn't noticed that inconsistency. I suppose it would've been more accurate to say you don't need a clear reason.

Vore – just makes me feel ill.

Trypophobia – reminds me how trolling and bottom-of-the-barrel the internet is sometimes.

I agree with the French and Chinese Languages.. Not so much with the Japanese language, then i might be seeing some kind of mathematical resonance in it, Like i do the German Language.

All the conspiracy theories associated with vaccines and the spectrum. BS to the max!

Also, I don't drink and smoke. I don't drink because I'm on four prescriptions
and smoking of course is bad.

Vocal fry. Although I've mentioned this before in a different thread.
