Well, what interests do you have, outside of finding a relationship...it won't do very well if you have no hobbies or interests. There are plenty of women who don't like sports or care about celebrities.

As for movies what exactly do you mean like you don't like any movies/shows/documentaries, or specifically dislike movies but will watch shows? Just may be hard to find someone who doesn't like any movies or shows. Lots of people enjoy sitting down and watching something with their partner. Me and my boyfriend are picky about what we watch(he's more picky) so yeah, I watch some stuff alone or if he's doing something else but it's nice we have some shows/movies we're both interested in.

If your only interest is the person you're dating or would like to date, that can be too much and make you seem too clingy, which isn't particularly attractive.

I look for partners who watch animated comedies (Simpsons, South Park, etc), but nobody in Houston has those interests. Unless I live in a city like NYC, San Francisco or Seattle, I'm screwed.

But unless you make at least $200,000-300,000, you can't afford to live in those cities.

I am 100 percent positive that there are some women who watch adult cartoons in Houston.

My first girlfriend did & she lived in Houston. We actually met on Comedy Central's message board.

I watch adult cartoons...though I don't live in Houston. I live in Essex.

I'm sure I've worked and socialised with a fair few men who are on the spectrum and we've probably had a bloody good laugh at the world

Oh yes, not all autistic men are the same, but it does seem like the nerdy, more stereotypical types seem to be kinda off-putting to many women. Maybe those traits are just a turn off in a man, while those traits in a woman are seen as cute or, in more unfortunate circumstances, prey for predators, I don't know.

Yes, well, being nerdy is typically seen as unattractive whether you are autisic or not.

A lot of normies have no hobbies other than sports ball or (insert current popular thing) and they have no trouble finding romantic partners.

Well, that is still something other than nothing.

Playing sportsball is a great way to meet people and socially network.

Watching popular forms of sportsball can provide an icebreaker, not to mention watching in public spaces serves as another way of meeting/socially networking with people.

Im sure my ex was on the spectrum but I never mentioned it to him and I don't even think he was aware of it anyway
But he had a good network of friends and that was all centred around sport and the pub quiz

He was very social

I kept what I thought I knew about him to myself

Yeah, this is why Asperger's shouldn't have been taken out of the DSMV-whatever-it's-called. It's so frustrating when you're trying to look up historical figures with possible Aspie traits by using the term Asperger's in your search and it bangs on about the Asperger's label not existing any more. So you use "high-functioning autism" instead and it rules out autism due to interpreting it with outdated stereotypes such as being completely socially isolated, developmentally delayed, freaky, etc. Like it basically says "this historical figure was not likely to have autism, because they were social". Ugh!

I bet if Asperger's still existed as a label I'd probably find the answers I want.

Is it Foster? I don't think there's anyone who knows him better than you at this point, Tamaya. If I wanted to know whether he was autistic, I'd be asking for your informed opinion. I would trust that more than an A.I.'s synthesis.

That's a really lovely thing to say Kuen
What a ray of sunshine you are :sunny:

Anyway autistic men are really cool, especially the nerdy ones
That's what I'm saying

As an aroace AMAB...

They see me as a monster or something they can manipulate (which i will never allow to happen). I am pretty sure there is a woman out there right now plotting to slice my neck open and so I have to be ready at any time. There is no safety.
