Really??? Who has 100k saved up in their 30's? That's a crazy expectation to put on someone.

I have more than that in my retirement in parent's trust.

All joking aside, most people don't come from wealth, 100k in retirement savings by the time you are 35 is not a reasonable expectation.

Most people these days live paycheck to paycheck with little left over, especially young people. Not to mention autistic people are often unemployed / underemployed.

I would not expect someone who is neurodiverse to have much money at any age. My previous answer was for the able-bodied. I am sorry...I was confused. I just got lucky.

While I got lucky and had a STEM job and enough to buy a house, I think anyone on the spectrum is fortunate if they can move out of their parent's home and live independently without assistance.

Living independently and earning enough money to play for it is quite an achievement for anyone with autism.

I would say its quite the accomplishment for any millennial or gen z in the country.

Even if someone is able-bodied, you still can't expect them to be able to come up with that kind of money, especially in the US. Not everyone gets to be a trust fund kid.
