sorry to intrude in the women's forum. i think the key point here is, how do you define boring? Personally I'd love to go out with a 'boring' girl and do 'boring' things like long conversations somewhere quiet about 'boring' topics like books or art, while a 'fun' girl that thought there was nothing more to life apart from drinking, dancing and shopping would bore me to tears.

*sneaks away*

Yes, I'm boring. I'm a short, plain looking, book-loving, cat loving woman with plain brown hair. Nothing interesting in terms of looks. I'm 43 years old, way past the age I'd be interesting to anyone.

Replace the cats with dogs, add 4 kids and an obsession with needlecrafts and sewing and we could be related.

I do feel that I'm a boring person, sometimes. I just don't communicate with my parents anymore, because of it.

Yes I feel like I am boring because I am hard to go out and do things just because I didn't set them in stone or I wasn't expecting it. I like to watch Benny & Joon and be on the computer and I like going to Spokane. I used to think my boyfriend would leave me but he says he won't because he likes me the way I am.

No not often, but when I do, I remember something I heard. "If you are bored it is because you are boring". So I try not to get bored then I don't feel that I am boring. Actually, I think people will think I'm strange, not boring. I don't know which is worse?

My brain blanks out a great deal.
So it can be very boring to talk to me.

I hardly ever feel bored, so I don't think I'm boring. Some people that must be boring, because they depend on others to fill the void for them, find me boring.

But I couldn't tell you how or why I'm not boring, so maybe I am... I'm certainly unable to hold many peoples interest.

Recently I have felt that I am so boring. Will I ever find someone who loves me if I am this boring? Will it affect my career while on communication terms, people love to be with interesting, humorous and sensitive people.

I think a "boring" woman could still find love with a guy, I'd have to meet her to know, but I'm sure I could love a "boring" woman. But as a "boring" guy I doubt I'll ever find a keeper, by that I mean a woman that would stay with me.

i dont think i used to think i was boring, i did however find other people a bit boring , i remmeber at school once being invited to joint the table of the *in crowd* id always wanted to be accepted and have freinds so i did go and sit with them, i was still totally out of the loop i didnt have a clue what was going on or why the purchase of a certain pair of jeans or shoes or make up was in the least bit interesting enough to warrant a conversation beyond a * i bought a new pair of black shoes* *nice lucky you*

i rember one incident from that day, they were discussing the various merits of different types of mascara i was thinking they make different mascaras ? then i said what is the point of mascara anyway we all have eyelashes already. i think it was about at that point i was returned to solitude .

however i now accept that i am boring , i dont go out or have freinds or even hobbies anymore so what is there to make me not boring.
i wish i could be not boring but even when i have something i am fascinated by , nobody else ever shares that fascination and my memory sucks so i can never call my self an expert on anything.

Its been almost two years now since I significantly simplified my life to avoid getting hurt anymore, Im not sure if it helped as much as I suspected but it is A LOT more boring.. Ive noticed that even Ive become more "boring" as well. I guess the longer it goes on the less entertaining I will be for a girlfriend.. So I guess what Im getting at is I think I would prefer a gf that is boring herself, and doesnt expect 24/7 excitement from me either.
So yea I guess being boring isnt so bad if you dont mind being lonely.. My feelings about that flunctuates a lot though.. Generally all I really ever wanted was for someone to love me.. Im must not be "right" for anyone.

The easiest way to not be boring is to... surprise, stop being boring. If you never have fun, you're not going to be fun to anyone else either.
