I worked as a secretary for my Mom at a time. Now,I am starting to work at a coffee house. When I turn 18 in April I want to work in a book store.

I worked at my dad's donut shop until it was sold, now i work IN the kitchen at a local Chick-Fil-A. Not that stressful AND i dont have to talk to random people who come to buy things... Only problem is that the other cooks don't speak good english. I'm learning spanish, though. It's worth it.

I work at Chick-fil-a for the past year and basically it's an AS nightmare.... Having to act NT for 10 hours while stupid people yell at you and your co workers treat you with s**t as well.

Wow, in australia you can get a job when you're 14 (some 13)
Anyway, I got my job when I was 14, And I have never enjoyed it. It is WAYYY too stressful (checkout chick at a massive supermarket).
Quite often I stutter and say the wrong words because it all gets to my head and my mind goes blank
Also, I have had severe back and neck problems as a cause of this.
And it is so boring. '
But, I keep it because 1. I'll probably regret it, good pay, good company policies, nice staff
2. I don't know how. I guess i'll be there till I move out (3 years) or they fire me..

The thing is, having this job has taught me so much more than one could have possibly expected. And, I can actually look people in the eyes, say hello kindly and many more things.
When people I don't know say hi to me I can actually say something back without looking like a complete dork. ITS GREAT :D

But it doesn't change the fact that I don't like my job... :(

i have a job at a supermarket and it's always enjoyable because filling up the shops isnt the hardest thing to do, i have a lot of nice co-workers en it helps get my mind of things, you could call it a kind of therapy where the patient gets money for :P it's really helpfull for an aspie to in a store because you have to learn how to interact with people, it really helped me alot and it's easier to just go and speak to people now, i wouldn't say i looooooooove my job but i like it there. i work 3 days a week useually 3 and a half/ 4 hours each of these days and the pays enough to supply me with a couple of beers and other drinks each weekend, and supply me with food the rest of the week
