Hey, I wonder if they've changed Ganondorf's fighting style?

Looks like no Rundas then.

Oh well, as long as Lucario can use Aura Sphere then I'll be fine. I'll use Ike, Meta Knight and Solid Snake as well.

Oh, and a European release date is rumoured as June 1st.

Rare sold all the characters / etc. from the Donkey Kong Country games and Star Fox Adventures when they left Nintendo. Including a third-party character wouldn't have been a problem though, since they included Sonic and Snake. Nintendo has used Geno (at least in a cameo) with Square's permission in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

I can't wait to play this, Super Smash Bros. Melee is easily my favorite game of all time.

Brawl is going to eclipse that Melee.

My main characters are Mario, Young Link (now toon link...) and Ness. Glad Ness is back along with Young Link.

I want to try out Cpt. Olimar and Pokemon Trainer. But I have to play a character for a while to really get a good sense of how they play, I can't just say... I'm going to get good with such and such... the character almost chooses me... :?

:D

They didn't, as I've read.

I'm disappointed that Ganondorf and Toon Link are just barely altered versions of the same movesets used in melee. Ganondorf should never have been a Captain Falcon clone in the first place, and not giving him his sword or commonly used projectiles is just sad. And Young Link switching over to the Wind Waker style model had all kinds of potential that they just didn't tap into with moves based on items from that game. I was hoping for some Deku Leaf and Skull Hammer moves and such, and he ended up just a reskinned Young Link.

Falco seemed to be changed more than either of them, and Wolf looks to play fairly significantly different from Fox despite being based off the same general concept of a moveset. I was disappointed when I found out there were two Fox clones, but Wolf isn't really all that much of a clone after all and looks fun to play. Still lame that they all have the same final smash. Same with Ness and Lucas. At least Luigi has a different final smash from Mario.

Overall the roster looks great though, just wish they could have had less clones this time, though from what Ive seen Falco, Ganondorf, and Toon Link seem to be the only real clones this time. Lucas and Wolf seem more akin to the differences between Luigi and Mario in Melee than a straight up clone. My biggest surprise is R.O.B., when the rumors were going around that he was in I expected him to be lame and couldn't really picture a viable moveset for him, but the YouTube videos Ive seen look pretty damn cool. Still a shame some of the characters I was hoping for didn't make it in playable(Midna, Isaac, Felix, Ridley, Dark Samus, Samurai Goroh, Black Shadow, etc). Its gonna be a while before we see another Smash Bros.

I am happy that they did make it so you can start a match as Zero Suit Samus without getting a smash ball(Or if you have them turned off for some reason) by holding R on the Gamecube controller as the match starts. I'm looking forward to trying out Wario, Wolf, R.O.B., Pit, and Olimar the most now. It needs to be March 9th.

I was disappointed at first about this, but it isn't that bad. I played with Young Link in SSBM, and he plays a differently enough from Adult Link.

And it's strange that Ganondorf is still a clone, I think either they ran out of time... or they didn't want to disapoint the players that have skills with the current ganondorf. Which plays quite differently than falcon, whenever you take a fast character and make them slow. I like to think of Cpt. Falcon being a clone of Ganondorf now, it eases the pain...

So what happened to no clones then. It's gone completely out of the window. I was hoping for 35 individual Final Smashes as well. :(

Maybe it was no new clones... but that doesn't account for Wolf. just joking...

Doesn't matter though, the game will be amazing. I can't complain about what could be, when what is there is more than enough to satisfy.

What they should have done then is give Ganondorf's Melee moveset to Black Shadow or something, who would have made more sense in the first place as a heavy Captain Falcon clone, and give the F-Zero series another representative, even if it was a clone, and free up Ganondorf for a proper moveset.

And Wolf is becoming my most anticipated character, he looks to play significantly different from Fox with a faster activating Up B, a Side B that moves at an angle, a neutral B that looks closer to Zero Suit Samus' stun pistol than Fox's laser, and his Down B Reflector looks different at least but don't know what exactly it does differently. Hes also got a bunch of unique A moves including a lunging Forward Smash that looks quite painful.

I think most people hated wolf at first because he was the last character to complete the 35 character roster, and because they thought he was cloned and the landmaster final smash. Wolf should have had an airwing for his FS.

Im gona use yoshi anyway because my friend uses fox. On melee my friend almost always beats me with fox so i hope yosho is improved in brawl.

Also people where saying that brawl seems a bit slower that melee, i think thats because they where training in lightning melee. You should go play lightning melee for a few hours then go back to normal, you will notice how slow it is and how easy it is to combo.

If King Dedede sucks, I'm using Link again.
