When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I have to go to the Gym for my RSI. I don't enjoy it and it takes a lot of motivation but once I'm there, it's ok.

So.

I try to go 3 times per week. It's a nice Gym and work pays for half. They supply towels etc.. so you don't have to carry too much and it's full of businessmen and women. Very posh.

I ride the exercise bike for about 15 mins
Lift weights
Do some bizarre stuff on one of those balls - had a funny incident where I fell off it and the ball bounced across the room.
More weights...

I used to go sailing but don't have time anymore - and boats are too expensive.
I used to play soccer when I was at school - hated every second.
I sometimes go bowling with the kids but nobody really enjoys it.
I used to play squash but have nobody to play with now and no time to play in.
I used to enjoy swimming but can't because the kids want to be played with, held etc...

I don't play board games anymore because the kids eat the pieces and my wife has no patience for them.

ok... I'm all talked out about actual sports and board games - can we go back to video games now?

OK I feel like everyone is getting annoyed with my sports talk so I am just going to give up about talking about them. Its fine I understand not many people here enjoy sports, but its the only thing I have ever been good at. So whatever, and yes gbollard and all of you other people you may now go back to talking about video games. I will not bother you all with sports again.

There are sport related threads in this forum. Admittedly they are much less than video games, but there's some to be found. I think it's a demographic issue--many people with AS lack to coordination to participate in competitive sports, and many people who play competitive sports are somewhat domineering, and tend to be viewed as bulles (correctly or otherwise) which further pushes many people here away from sports.

Us athletic sport-loving aspies may be in the minority, but we exist. If there's a particular issue you're interested in, start a thread regarding it. Chances are, you're not alone. Right now there's threads on the first page discussing boxing, racing, baseball, and football. Respond to an existing thread, or start one. Or, there may be other sites with a more sport-focused discussion board that have nothing to do with AS. You could get your sport fix there, and come here to be among others sharing your perspective on the world.

They don't have to look at this thread, the title should say it all.

Personally I didn't like either team in the Super Bowl but I liked the Patriots less so I was happy to see them stopped. 19-0* didn't appeal to me.

I can understand why the demographic is so anti-sports here, though. If anyone met me when I was 13 they would've been shocked that I ever would end up doing anything related to any sport, watching or playing.

I hate video games now. I've wasted my life on them. I won't play sports though. I'm too unfit, and there's no sports I can play.

You know, my old high school has the most biased athletic/activities counselor. He is a former football coach who treats all other activities except sports like their second class. He's not the only biased person, but the entire school district is, too. I would love to leave those morons all behind, but I've still got younger siblings still in school or involved in the 'second class' activities.

OneLastBreath,

Sorry if I came across annoyed - I wasn't. I was just pointing out that I don't have much I can contribute.

I don't watch professional sports since watching someone else have fun from the comfort of your lounge chair sounds silly to me.

so that just leaves my own personal sports - which are quite dull...

---

Berserker,

My wife is not thin at all. She's beautiful and I love her.

The waif look doesn't do much for me - I feel like I have to go and feed these hungry people.

So, don't be concerned about your weight.. There are lots of men like me with all kinds of preferences for looks. That means that when the time comes and you're looking for someone, you'll be able to find a person who is right for you.

.... oh and Strapples.... that doesn't help. :D

I go to the YMCA 3 times a week. I do 30 minutes worth of pure strength training, sometimes I go swimming. I also occasionally run laps w/ my neighbors around the track at the park across the street, at night.

For a few years I was very into working out, mainly because I wanted to get into pro wrestling. When I discovered that I wasn't going to like the business (too many locker room rituals, plus the travelling), I kinda lost my motivation.

Then I hurt my shoulder playing Gutar Hero somehow, and had to cut out all the exercises that involve raising my shoulders or lifting my arms above neck level.

As a result it's too depressing to work out, and I've let myself get all fat. I was never good at the 'eating clean' part of healthy living.

At 5.25 am every weekday and 6.00 am on weekends I walk my dog, Morgan Beaglhoven I. It's cool on Saturday cos my bf goes running (he lives 30 mins from me) and it feels like we're together.

My passion is AFL namely the almighty Brisbane Lions.

:)
