Maybe fighting in life, but also making sure you enjoy happiness when it comes.

hmmm. you might be right about the fighting thing, I do feel a bit worn out lately. I'm not saying get angry and frustrated at life though, just enjoy the fight of it.

When ever I feel depressed I just mentally fight it, it tires me out but it works.. I just seem to get stronger.

So fighting did work for you then?? Maybe if you concerntrate less on your goals, and see your goal as just fighting through things as being sucessful that may work. Maybe you got angry and frustrated because you didn't achieve your wanted.

money/material belongings/status/etc is shallow to me, so to me those sorts of things are wrong, so they are shallow. But I think I will gain them so people will judge me better then. Isn't it great how everyone is striving for them, that is what life is about for people(they are trapped) and I (we) don't care.

Well say if you had all your needs met, you had everything you ever wanted?
What then?? What would you do? You would have to think of new things to do.

In the end all of us grown old get sick and die?? no one escapes..

What are some worthwhile things to you then?

Maybe I have a negative view on things.

What I'm thinking these days is make plans and decisions to what you want to do, if they don't work, then don't care about it, just try hard to do them. Maybe this is why I find things pointless?? I don't really believe in anything I do. :?

How old?

I went through one at 23, it is very healthy to go through early ones then you don't have a massive one at 50.

The ripe old age of 22 (or at least I feel like it).

 I always thought you were about 40 or something. 23 is ok for a midlife crisis, but maybe 22 is maybe a bit self indulgent. :P

40? I sure as hell feel 40. I feel ripe and old inside.

Who says chronological age matters for these things? :P

ok yes then time, age is all relative.

I actually feel like I'm still probably about 23 in some ways even younger.

So maybe you know more about old age than me. :salut:

I've been having one more or less since 2002 - just losing stuff, falling behind, aging. . .
I get reprieves and then I hit the bottom again.

I'm more confused now than when I was 12 or 16.

Fighting did work, I think I came out from all that a little bit more NT and confident and a little less aspie. That was the time when I had my last girlfriend, we lasted a couple of years, but I ended that relationship. I was very confused, I even left the town to work at another state, I think it helped, there was lots of work, even on sundays, so I had no time to stop and think!

Life is tough and then you die.

sorry to hear about the alcohol thing missC :?

 I also like to make jokes, like "ok, when I die there'll be a bunch of worms, so enjoy the feast MF'ers!"

Where was I in my rambling mess of a discussion.

Yeah fighting is good, at the least it is a useful coping stagegy, well for me it is. :pirat: ROAR!! !

I like this saying I think I heard it in a movie once, or something like it.

When death smiles a man in the face every day, all a man can do is smile right back.

I loved the movie "Fight club", that is the most refreshing philosophy to how to live your life I have seen in long time. Not into getting into physical fight BTW, that an't good.

hmmm I might be getting my mindset back again. :P

Yeah humour is great as well, I always make jokes about everything, I don't take things too seriously.

Powerful stuff, I'm not sure on that!
We do get satisfaction from achieving goals, but the thing is they have to be things that matter to us. If your goal is to achieve something that is really easy for you, then you will not get much from it.

Anyway there is difference between needs and wants I think. Maybe recognising what your needs really are and don't confuse them with your wants. Do the wants not because you need to but because you want to. I might be onto something there

Hmm maybe we need to start goofing off more. Go with the flow now, you can start thinking to seriously about things... My ADD, AS is part of who I am, it is a bit of a curse, but you do have a choice of how you want to feel about it. :?
