The Eternal Squire

you can look and see how old I am right over there
<-----------------------

I did what I wasn't interested in but what sells. I did it a lot. The problem was I couldn't sustain it internally and eventually it collapsed quickly or crumbled slowly, but it was not sustainable, at least by me. I am fortunate enough to have found something I am relatively good at and at least can do it my own way and am going to give it my best effort in order to retire eventually. (That sounds so good, but I know my track record on jobs and working with people, so I think I am just being optimistic. )

I wish you the best in your endeavors
Merle

And I may very well do that. Ideas?

If you're referring to the suggestion I made (i.e. to have your work published on the Internet) I'm afraid that I haven't investigated it in detail. At this point, I can only repeat to you a few more pieces of advice that this recruiter gave me: that the software published should preferably be graphical, so as to have an immediate appeal; and that it should be something non-trivial, so as to set you apart from other software developers.
