Get a life is a dumb thing to say. People have said that to me.

which i find weird because if they had a "life" they would not spend all their time telling others how to run their lives.

People just love to hurl their words like bricks, don't they?

You have to think about how easy it is for people to spout remarks like, "Get a life." It takes very little intelligence or ingenuity.

I used to get furious when people told me, "You do it to yourself." Now I've just learned to respond, "Fallacy of the Simple Cause."

I don't think they have the authority to define what "a life" is. It's all subjective BS.

Personally I think all the dumb frat boy party animals need to get a life. They need to get some personal hobbies and develop some intellectual curiosity and/or artistic talent instead of wasting all their time socializing.

I could verbalize this personal opinion to everyone I meet but I don't because I think every individual gets to decide on their own what constitutes "a life". If they really enjoy socializing then all the power to them. I'm not going around telling people they don't "have a life" if they don't enjoy the things I enjoy so they need to learn to return the favor. Otherwise f*** em'.
