People need someone to feel superior to. So they can go, "well at least I'm not Chris-chan!"

The truth is, I bet that a lot of the mocking of Chris-chan is done by people who are worried that they might be similar in some way. Is there really much difference between a sad autistic person and a person who spends their leisure time making fun of a sad autistic person?

It's not just Christian Weston Chandler that gets cyber riddiculed. There are also others such as KingMasterReview, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jgo1Kc0 ... re=related. and TrulySonicHog. The BlackBusterCritic is really nothing more than a big bully, but all the people he picks on seem to be autistic. KingMasterReview did nothing, BlackBusterCritic said he probably wants to have sex with Silver the Hedgehog and started a rumor. With people like him in the world, no wonder some people still like Barney. At least Barney demonstrates some compassion.

I only discovered the story about this guy last night. I often go googling for something in particular I want to read about and end up reading about things that are completely unrelated. I have no idea what I was originally looking for last night. I somehow passed through the SA forums where things were mildly interesting, and ended up at the wiki site mentioned earlier in the thread that comprehensively details the complete history of the story. I read it for hours. I found it really disturbing. I have this residual feeling of disbelief/sorrow. This project is an example of how horrible and pointless the actions of some people can be. I am having difficulty expressing how this has made me feel because the thought that I will 'sperg' in a fashion that will be interpreted as a 'tard meltdown' typical of somebody with 'ass-burgers' locks me up. Reading a thread at SA about those that have AS, and the manner in which the participants seemingly frothed at the mouth while debasing a group of people left me cold.

To dedicate so much time and effort to the ridicule of others, regardless of their actions, is so wrong to me that it just makes me really sad.

I feel really sad for the poor guy, even if he is a bit screwed up. I can't believe that people would go so far in their attacks on him.

Someone needs to bar him from the Internet and wipe out every reference to him. Then, when he's ready, he can go back online with a new identity and not make an ass of himself.

I have a hard time feeling sympathy for a racist, sexist, heterosexist individual regardless of their diagnosis but I have to wonder why people just don't ignore his nonsense. He spews out a lot of hate and doesn't really have to capacity to protect himself from the backlash. I think he has demonstrated that he can not navigate the internet safely unsupervised and his caretakers should take that under advisement. That said he is an adult man and if he wants to embroil himself in this mess that;s his right.

As for ED being awful and the worst whatever I have to disagree. Is shock humor disgusting and upsetting yes that's the point. I don't mind it so much because the conceit of the site is that it's the villain , if someone posts something as a joke there it means they recognize it's horrible and they think it's so horrible that people will be shocked by it.
That shows a lot more self awareness than a lot of regular humor/entertainment sites who sometimes post horrible disgusting things too, but without the mission of satirical offensiveness. Reddit is guilty of this.
I prefer ironic offensiveness to genuine offensiveness even if the latter is well intended.

The internet is the least of Chris's problems. He's gotten himself banned from various places for causing disruptions or being racist, fired from the only job he's ever had (at Wendys), and expelled from his college for a year. He's repeatedly harassed the guy who banned him from his store, and has sexually harassed women as well. His main source of income now comes from government charity, and he wastes most of it (thousands of dollars) on video games and other entertainment. He also stole his own parents' credit cards so he could buy even more stuff. He's nearly ran people over before, and has gotten himself arrested more than once, with a felony currently attached to his head.

This is all without the help of the internet.

Incidentally, Chris-chan also hates people with Aspergers.

I still think it's wrong what people are doing to him regardless of what he is like. I've heard the "but they deserve it" excuse from bullies way too many times to ever take it seriously as a justification for bullying. Also many of those people would do the same to you so don't fool yourself into thinking that they were driven into it because of how "bad" he is. They just find him to be an easy target for their desire to bully others.
