Last night my bride and I watched:

Transcendence [2014]
<=>"Yesterday Dr. Will Caster was only human"

How intelligent can artificial intelligence be?

What will it be able to do?

If you would like to see some entertaining speculation on those questions than this movie is:

<=>/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/R E C O M M E N D E D

But, remember it is a movie. Plus, we don't know just how high the IQ of an artificial intelligence might be. And how much its mastery of technology might exceed ours.

Oh, we both enjoyed the movie.

Companion (2025)
Streamed on HBOMax

Mmmm. How much do I reveal about this story.

Me wrote:
A gal (Iris) meets a fella (Josh) in a grocery story. She falls in love with him. Cozy cozy, hug hug, kissy kiss kiss.   It is true love.
They visit some of Josh's friends in the middle of nowhere at a cabin in the rustic woods. Okay, I cannot lie. It is bigger than a cabin and it has a four car garage.
IMDB wrote:
A weekend getaway with friends at a remote cabin turns into chaos after it's revealed that one of the guests is not what they seem.
I cannot lie. That is not true.
HBOMax wrote:
Three couples gather at a remote lake house, setting off genre-blending tale of love, deceit and revenge
(I would have placed a comma after the word "deceit", but it is a quote, and I cannot lie.)
One of those descriptions is a lie.
Part of me felt an A.I.: Artificial Intelligence vibe when this movie started. Nah. I'm sure it is just my imagination.

Bugonia.

A clinically paranoid man, along with his mentally handicapped cousin, kidnap a wealthy and powerful CEO, believing she is an alien infiltrator who can get them in touch with her mothership in order to parley with the alien emperor.
Great twist at the end. Highly recommended.

I'm VERY glad you recommend it...my Bugonia disk arrived a day or two ago but we've not had a chance to watch it, yet.

Last night we watched:

Topper [1937]
<=>"They wound him up and let him run...Riot!"

Some of the characters in the beginning of the movie do not survive to the end of the movie.

But they're still in it, and enjoying themselves!

We both enjoyed the movie. RECOMMENDED!

I was initially attracted to the movie because I vaguely remembered seeing Topper [1953–1955] when I was very, very, very young.
