From the Original Series episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before". This episode aired as the 3rd episode of the 1st Season but in reality should have been the Pilot episode. You can tell by the different uniforms they were wearing and the bridge design. I love the tension building music during this scene. It had an eerie vibe to it. One of my favorite episodes of the 1st season.

Worf didn't have much music appreciation there haha. It might have been Geordi's playing.

It's cool that Star Trek: The Original Series kind of addressed artificial intelligence in the episode "The Ultimate Computer". Great episode.

am thinking many sci fi writers have uncannily predicted the future . . It is spooky, and if you saw that episode you might have seen how letting a computer type ( AI ) turns out in the end. It does appear that the world may eventually be having a similiar situation, giving the rate of application and advancement of the current AI growth . United Healthcare insurance Co. Instituted AI algorthymes to approve or denied serious healthcare surgeries for its
clients( victims) . And many died based on that.It made the news in the USA  But its all just sci fi ..? ehh..?

What are your opinions about Star Trek 4; if it should still happen or not?

It is spooky how so many sci-fi writers have managed to predict the future! I love this episode and it never dawned on me that it was describing AI until today. This episode has such a great message. That's sad that United Healthcare is using AI algorithms to approve or deny claims. I think it should be illegal. Especially when it comes to critical surgeries that mean life or death for someone. Thank you so much for sharing Jakki!

I think it would be neat if they decided to do one. I have to admit that I initially wasn't too much of a fan of the Chris Pine movies but think they are kind of fun for a lot of people. The movies have helped to introduce Star Trek to a new generation.

This is just another clip from "The Ultimate Computer". This shows the consequences of what happened with the M5 computer.
