Catherine O'Hara died on January 30, 2026
and one interesting thing about her, among many.

Quote:
She had dextrocardia with situs inversus, a condition where her heart and other major internal organs are reversed from their normal positions.

I read once that the Egyptian pharaoh Seti I probably also used to have the same condition - the figurine of a scarab put on the heart of the Egyptian mummies was put in his case on the right. But on the other hand, it could be also caused by the fact that he had heart related problems and the balsamists wanted his heart to work better in the afterlife and that's why :)

"Philip Glass cancels Kennedy Center symphony premiere in protest of Trump’s leadership"
:)
If I wanted to be funny, I would replace that final 'p' with a 't'

Lindsay Vonn crashed during a run earlier today in Milan-Cortin. She's in stable condition.

That AI chatting works the very same way how Cocomelon affects little children: addictive brainrot that will suck you in like a black hole. 8O

I always thought Americans never used the word "rubbish" before, until I realised that on Home Alone Kevin shouts, "guys, I'm eating chocolate and watching rubbish!"

In Toy Story 5 Bonnie gets infected with brain rot when she gets an evil frog tablet device that makes her stop playing with her toys. Woody comes to their rescue and he now has a bald spot on the back of his head where the paint has come off, and the device is rude to him for being "old".

I'm sure plenty of kids will enjoy watching the movie on their tablets. Which will ironically resemble the evil frog tablet device. Go figure.

Chinese is a high-context language and English is a low-context language, which was put forward by Edward Hall, an American anthropologist. Chinese speakers among Autism is more difficult to communicate.
I discovered this because when my girlfriend said "should", I mistook it for "have to", which is a common word in Chinese.

In Finland the largest jars of mayonnaise are labeled "American Size".

I guess it's because of the stereotype that Americans have everything in supersized portions that contributes to obesity, but someone said that the biggest jars of mayo in the US are even bigger than the ones in Finland.

I started wondering if that includes economy sized jars of mayo or just normal ones. I think the biggest jars of mayo are about the same amount in Canada as in the US, so this whole "American size" is nonsense and up here we should be laughing while being too polite to correct the Finnish at the same time.

It's the same way we might joke something huge being 'Texas sized'.

It doesn't matter if stores in Texas actually sell bigger sizes, it's a reference to a common stereotype. The joke works even if the stereotype is factually incorrect because people are still familiar with the stereotype.

It's actually better to watch things on YouTube that I actually enjoy than it is to watch people on talk shows have a worse day than I'm having.
