I live within walking distance of the San Andreas Fault, but I haven't felt afraid of earthquakes in about a week... just noticed. There were lots of warning signs of the big one last year.

I can only think of a few times I've ridden in one. A friend had the use of her parents' Chrysler convertible, and a group of us went to the 24 hour taco stand in the middle of the night.
