I became into Steam Punk about a year ago and I loved the detail and the creativity of mechanics and clockwork so I, as I usually do when interested in something saved some info and pics I thought I could post on here as a little eye candy. I grew fond of jewelry and gadgets most and not bigger objects so please excuse the absence of big mechanical contraptions which would certainly also be very interesting and fun.

Hope this satisfies your curiosity for steam punk gadgets and gives you and insight to how creative and interesting this concept truly is.
Everything runs on steam, how environmental.

"Steam Punk Girl"

- Are you the mechanic?
- Yep thats me what do you need?
- Could you fix our steam airship?
- Sure can!
- Jump in!
- Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I'm a genius girl in a steam punk world
Life driven by steam, is my dream
Soot all over my hair, and gears everywhere
Victoria fasion and tools are my passion

Staying up late tinkering is great

I'm a blonde brainy girl, in a fantasy world
Wrench in hand, being a mechanic is grand
I can fix any thing, I'm the Tehnology Queen
Science and knowledge, tools and parts, and a well placed smack

I can create any machine
If you need me I'll be there, oooh whoa

Got a problem, need something fixed, Have a machine
I'm your girl, got my tools, I'll even make it's finish gleam
sweat and gears, blood and tears, Its fixed so have no more fears
Put me to the test, you'll see I am the best, Eyes off the chest.

The Victorian era bores me as does the upper class attitude of that subculture. Being elegant is pretty popular with the Victorian steampunks so I stay far away.

People more into WW2, dystopia, art deco, pulp, noir, etc. would be more into dieselpunk than mainstream steampunk.

I'd like to see the two movements separate or at least get the cliquey Victorian goths to call themselves something besides steampunk and let the dieselpunk aesthetic take over.

so true....I love diesel punk but my friend is more into steam punk due to a weirdly victorian style school experience....Dieselpunk just seems so much more beautiful and interesting to me.

Hydrogen punk?
Seems appropriate.

That beetle looks bad ass.
I really like clockworks and beetles are my favourite kind of insect (which is great because they make up the largest portion of insects), so this picture combines those two to make an awesome being.
