NoScript and Ghostery are your friends. N/S allows the user to temporarily or permanently disable 3rd party scripts. I don't get the free Iphone scam on my end but since it seems Cloudflare is tied in heavily with this site I get PTSD therapists and Dental Implant ads

another helpful tip if you're not familiar with it yet: on windows or mac (or linux too, probably. but then again, if you're using linux, you probably know this...) you can select your post and copy it by pressing ctrl-a and then ctrl-c (or cmd-a cmd-c). i do it every time before clicking preview or submit. it's almost a reflex by now

I am really glad I am not the only one having problems with this site. At least knowing I am not alone is helping me not have so many meltdowns.

I wish I could also script out or copy/paste the loud stereo blasters to another universe. That would help me not have so many meltdowns as well.

oh you don't need to worry about that. it's definitely not just you. technically speaking, this site is crap (though i've seen much worse. i once tried to post in a forum where it kept telling me i had "1 new message" when i had none

. that alone, which as you would expect was far from being the only issue, was enough for me to give up on it entirely)

A non existent new message every time would be so bad. I would literally get all excited just to be dashed every single time. That would be infuriating.

Have you tried F11, which on my keyboard acts as Mute. It's really the Airline on/off key.
