I'd say it's more like not going to a wedding because the bride and all of her friends were being bitchy to you.

Not exactly the right analagy... The friends. Maybe... But the bride and groom? Well. You would simply not have an invite if you were not wanted.

My point is to look to God direct and not listen to critical people. At the end of the day the decision is yours. It is between you and God. God is not forcing you. It is an offer to acept or deny.

I tend to avoid going to weddings altogether (real and figurative ones), but different strokes for different folks!

I think one needs to find his or her specific path and stick with that (whatever it may be) as long as it’s not hurting anyone else and is resulting in the most peace and joy for the individual.

A question for thought to the people who can't believe in the Bible or Biblical God:

Isnt it the Bible that which invented God in the first place? If you cannot believe in the God of the Bible, doesn't that mean you have made up one to your own liking? What is the point of that, everyone just building new religions and new deities they call God? What is it in your mind that makes you fear of letting a god go?

A more relevant question is whether homosexuals should accept god as he is packaged in the bible. Currently in Australia christian and other religious schools are legally allowed to expel gay teachers or students because it apparently conflicts with their teaching

some people just can't abide the thought of a cosmic boss above them. it interferes with their existential sense of free will. but i don't know what to think of determinists who also are atheists. the intellectuals here can try to figure that one out.

I don't really understand where "being gay is a sin" is coming from. Even though I'm not gay myself, I'm gynosexual, I really don't mind other people being whatever sexual orientation they want to be. Apparently, the Bible NEVER said that being gay is a sin, from what I've read on the internet, it ACTUALLY said that the angels where trying to stop all the people in a town from committing wrongful acts (e.g. arson, robbery, you name it) and doing crazy stuff, but the townspeople captured the two angels, and they sexually assaulted them. And then....well, take a wild guess what happened.

And that is how people made the mistake of viewing that being LGBT is a sin since.

Nowadays, even though there are still some people who despise LGBT relationships, it's actually becoming more accepting than it was a long time ago. Heck, I used to go to the same church as the gay couple, and they're nice people as far as I know!

Homosexuality may be a sin.

But the church also teaches that "we are ALL sinners" (if it aint one thing then its something else), and that you don't have to be perfect, just forgiven.

So...EVERYONE is rotten, but neither you, nor anyone else is more rotten than anyone else. So God accepts you.

You gotta love fundi christians. They are are worse hypocrites than the pharisees that Jesus castigated.

Only god can judge individual men for their deeds but not apparently in white christendom.

the present prosperity gospel abomination which seems to have taken over mainstream amuuurican-style xtianity, constitutes modern-day pharisees and the moneylenders they countenanced.
