There’s a song with the line “I want you to know that I’ll carry you home…” but it always seems to me it should be “follow you home”.

I remembered I existed and also remembered a casual idea that wraps many stalker songs into one.

As a merchandiser I spend a lot of time in grocery stores. A lot of them, no shock, play stalker songs or as I've dubbed different states of stalking. I told my co worker one day that if we lined up a bunch of the stalker songs in order that would create a story about some anon's healthy admiration for someone devolving into an obsessive stalker condition.

Also just going to throw out my favorite lyric to rip on for being something a serial killer would do "I wanna drink that smile". Not sure I want to know what he would do with the other remains of a victim's body. Anyways, thanks for coming to my TedTalk. :skull:

Roy Orbisson - I drove all night

Not intentionally (I hope) but...

I drove all night, crept in your room
Woke you from your sleep to make love to you

Nice song until you focus on the lyrics a bit too much... no dude....

I think this is about stalking but it's more of a 'please bugger off' song.

I plonked some of the lyrics into the abominable thing ie Deepl:

You just went and built up these fantasies on your own.
What kind of woman do you think I am?
Sorry, but your attitude?
Frankly, it's creepy.

“It's not malicious!”
That makes it even more unbearably troublesome.
I belong only to myself.
I am not yours.

Oppression in the name of love
I cannot accept it gratefully

Stop chasing me
Is that fun?
Seems like there's no privacy
Like everything's one uncut scene
La la la la love letter
Thanks to you, my head's in error

You must be a delusional lunatic
Whether you realize it or not is up to you
Ugh, seriously! That's just not happening
You're so annoying for not getting it
You Know, is that love?

If I meet your ideal,
can I be happy?

Mind your own business
You don't know me
You're an egoist
Don't you get it? This isn't love

You don’t know me
But this is your way
of showing affection, isn't it? “Thank you”
You don’t know me
I don’t know you
We'll never understand each other

They shot and edited the video themselves on an iPhone, according to the top comment, which possibly explains the stockings :)

I doubt there are any songs out there that are more overtly about stalking than this one.
