Thank Scotia for all what you wrote. Even though I am Christian as well I really needed to hear some of this myself. It has been a tough few days and I needed some uplifting myself which you gave me with the clear distincitions in ourselves which was very well written. My mind has been giving me a rotten time at times-and is very easy to judge me on anything but not anyone else. God knows me better than myself. I love Psalm 139 as well. Thank you for bringing much light to this.
I will look at the information you provided as well. I had come across Hugo Ross, but check them all again.

Hi Rachel, I hope that you are feeling better these days !

The gifts are given by God to strenghten the believers and I see that even only speaking about the gifts through this thread and sharing Bible verses helped you in those tough days.

Quote:
1 Corinthians 14:12

"So it is with you. You want the gifts of the Spirit. Then you should want the gift which will make you better able to help the church people."

Thank you Scotia, I did have a bit of a rough few days with overwhelming issues, perhaps taking on a bit too much and I was feeling a sense of despair with that as I feel sensory issues and I have quite severe ones can force me at times to act in a manner I wouldn't want and I feel is not pleasing enough. When this happens like in a meltdown you can feel like a bit all is lost sort of thing until you get yourself together. This happened and I heard something in my mind speak and say-we will seperate you from your conditions and today processing that it really helps me through this and strenghtens me. So God will seperate us from our conditions and like it is clear in Psalm 139 as well. We did a Easter group on Sunday and it was said that God is a God of laughter and good humor as well and that helps me as well. I hope that life is treating you well.

Regards David Derbyshire who I mentioned before about his work on Spirituality and neurodiversity. He has a website called Autism hereos. I did email him to ask if any Zoom groups were coming back and he sent me this so a bit unrelated but may be one for people to check out as well.
......
I apologise for not responding sooner. Unfortunately, there are currently no plans for more Neurodiverse Spirituality Zoom sessions. However, as part of my work with autistic individuals, I am developing a blog for the Autistic Heroes website. In this blog, I occasionally discuss spirituality, including this post on Mindfulness and Mantra Meditation, for example. Please feel free to check the blog regularly, as I aim to add a new post each week. Here is the link to the blog: https://autistic-heroes.com/blog/

Today I was just thinking how extraordinary the Lord Jesus was. His hearing/audio appeared to me to be perhaps extraordinary to hear the Devil speak to him when was in the Garden of Getheseme as well. I am very audio sensory as well and have scans of my head which says so as well. How extraordinary was the Lord.

I was thinking about this today again. I have thought about this in the past and it came to my mind again. The Holy Spirit has many roles-it can be an advocate, consellor, comforter and more. This is often given to a Christian when they are baptised the Holy Spirit.

Moving on from talking about gifts. i thought I would mention this. At times when I have been overwhelmed in the body and trying to recover it has felt like there has been different sensations of temperture around me liking turning cold and it has liked helped me to recover more easily. It is like almost a help and I started to wonder if the Holy Spirit could be helping me to recover and a part of God's plan for helping someone with autism. I did mention this to someone and they said it could be like flight or fight. I don't know but I found it interesting. Mention this to some people and they might not understand. It is interesting again to me, but you don't want to study yourself like a lab rat but just to live your life as best as you can with it.

Those of you who are in the UK-the Songs of Praise this Sunday the theme is on neurodiversity just as a heads for some of you as well.

Having said that, would any subsequent respondents please note that this is not the thread for challenges or debate - there are already plenty of threads covering that.

Leave this thread alone and let it be exclusively what the title requests.

A post attempting debate has been removed.

Hi I myself after I wrote the post and above went away and started to get more overwhelming in my life. I can account that I did get help and felt God’s embracing stilling presence when it was at its most worst and nothing to do with me causing it. I couldn’t work it out above to say for certain and then it just happened. This will still my senses and then help me to cope better with the situation. I think that this is was God’s Holy Spirit. It is no way flight or fight
I have felt that and it is a different feeling.
May be it would be something like this unseen like this.

Life is not easy, it was not before but now I have someone Almighty that helps me !

Checkout this video, it's not exactly about the Gifts but isn't salvation the most beautiful of the Gifts of God?

Scotia thank you for pointing this video out. I watched it and it was beautiful.
It makes me think to of Psalm 72 that God will support those who are afflicted/vunlerable to. Salvation I agree and also faith I agree is the most important thing as is love to.
