Well to be honest I had a long talk with myself and I'm going to quit with the fortune telling and stuff.

It's really not good for my mental health...

Sorry. :(

You've gotta do what's best for your own well-being.

If anyone here was really needing a reading, they could probably order their own set of cards and perform their own reading.

It's not fair for anyone else to expect you to pay the costs it clearly imposes upon you for their benefit.

Thank you. Honestly I think one reason I kept trying to push tarot on others online is because I craved the attention it gives me. It only fed into my ego and my delusions of granduer (a very common problem with bipolar disorder).

I'm really suprised I havent been swooped up by an actual cult or something given my state of mind. :|

And yeah I still believe most news sources out there are propaganda with an agenda, but relying on tarot cards for "answers" about whar's going on in the world these days is pretty foolish. I see that now.

Sadly, I've had my own experiences with mania so I get where you're coming from with that side of things.

In someways it reminds me of a runaway diesel engine, where it kinda just starts feeding itself until either failure or the air supply is cut-off.

I agree with how you described those manic episodes.

But on the other hand, I really like learning about fortune telling. Maybe it's possible to continue practicing my card readings only when I'm in a stable state of mind and teaching myselr not to pick them up when I'm feeling manic?

I think a general rule for people who suffer bipolar disorder should be not to do ANYTHING while feeling manic.

Also I'm starting to question why I do anything to try and please my Mom. A woman who frankly is un-pleasable, always puts me down, doesnt seem to appreciate any of my gifts i gave or made her over the years, loves comparing my overeating and weight issue to being a "crackhead" as she puts it, and compares me to her abusive stalker ex hubby any time she's pissed at me. Oh and one time compared me to living with a roommate.

I think that's another thing I need to talk to myself about... Why I work overtime killing myself to please a mom who never appreciates or respects me.

I think maybe that's a good reason to continue practicing fortune telling. Just to quietly protest my Mom's tyranny as the family matriarch who for whatever reason seems to have always had it out for me.

I would try to seek a balance, like you're outlining rather than make it off-limits to yourself. If you make if off-limits you might be more prone to end up having a more addict-like relationship with it.

But it also sounds like the stress of your living situation might be making things worse. I know for me I'm much more prone to cycling in response to stress and/or burnout.

Here's another lenormand reading I did last night in regards to the war between the US and Iran.

Image

I've been seeing news headlines about the possibility that the US military has depleted most of its stockpiles of missles on Iran which has left us vulnerable. I'm not sure I really believe that though (just like I never believed those news reports that Vladmir Putin, Kim Jong Un, or Donald Trump were deathly sick. Obviously they are all still alive and making people very miserable.)

But I decides to try a card reading and asked "Has the War with Iran made the US more vulnerable to outside attacks?"

I pulled:

The Lily, The Fish, The Snake, The Letter, The Key.

The Snake (Queen of Clubs, means Hidden Dangers) is in the very center as the focus card. So something dangerous is coming out of this war and Trump's failed judgement thinking that the Iranians would easily bow to him after their leader was killed. A pandora's box was opened and we may never be able to shut it.

To the left I pulled The Lily and The Fish. The Lily is about maturity and wisdom (the original meaning which I'm growing more fond of using lately), and The Fish is about money, resources, and obviously the water itself to an extent. I have a feeling that this is about thosw old Islamic guys running the Middle East discussing how to control the Strait of Hormuz which is vital to providing shipments of oil and other important resources around the world. And next to The Snake card that means there is a danger to American interests involved in this.

Maybe they plan to control the Strait of Hormuz in a way to choke Americans out economically? Money appears to be the only thing that heals aswell as hurts the United States.

To the right i pulled The Letter which is about waiting for news or an official document of some sort, and The Key as the very last card means that the door to a new era will be opened once this message comes to light

I have a feeling it won't be good news for the Americans, because of that Snake card in the very center.

So what I'm seeing here is that there wont necessarily be a "violent attack" on the states through missles and invasions while we are left vulnerable.

It's going to be more like an attack on our economy brought on by shrewd diplomacy and rewriting global trade rules.

And I have a feeling that the Strait of Hormuz plays a key role in hurting Americans for what Trump did by attacking Iran.

The rest of the world knows that if you really want to hurt Americans, hurt their money. :nerdy:

Sounds good.

I've noticed that you often seem a lot calmer when doing your card readings than at other times. So it doesn't seem to me that giving it up altogether would be good for you. But perhaps limiting WHEN you do card readings MIGHT be helpful?

Anyhow, I certainly don't think it's a good idea to give up a passionate interest just to please another person, such as your mom. You have a right to your own interests (as long as those interests don't involve harming other people).

I think you guys are right. I shouldnt have to give up something I really love doing just to please my Mom, especially when it isnt actually hurting anybody at all.

But having to live with my Mom makes it difficult to persue this hobby. But I can simply hide my readings and only do them when she's not around.
