I learned stuff about members of my family I barely knew.
For instance, I learned why one of my grandmothers had a name no one else in the family had.
I learned she had a twin brother, who I don't know if I ever met.
I learned she had a daughter that died at birth.
I learned where my dad is buried, and when he died.
I shared all of this with my younger brother.

I know this isn't What did you learn today? I spent most of the day working on this. So, I figured what I did outweighed what I learned, although that is up for debate.

That's amazing, pcgoblin. I hope it was a pleasant process, or at least an interesting one.

Somebody took me out for coffee today after being stuck in the house all day with no human contact yesterday.

44°C again

I've released the chooks,
Fed the peachicks
Fed and watered the alpacas and given the girls free run of most of the property and dam.
The boys have 3 paddocks and a lane.
Adjusted the pool and sunk the immersion fire pump in it.
Blocked the gutters
Tested the fire suppression system.
Rerouted the firetank hose to the back of the property, the pool can cover the front.
Run an extension to the firetank pump.
Covered the outdoor couches, chainsaw table and others to minimise sprinkler damage.
Put towels at front and back doors to catch water seeping under.
Packed the evacuation boxes in the car.
Checked the emergency app several times.
Checked if the government TV tower is still online (yesterday had a bushfire listed at the base of the tower again)

It's not even lunchtime yet.

If I was diagnosed I'd be popping amphetamines around now.
As it is I'll have to make do with bupropion. (Which I'll concede has a substituted amphetamine spine)

I've gotta say I'm pretty impressed with my progress this morning with my crocheting
I think I've mastered the basics now

I got groceries today on Wednesday because of the storm we had on Monday and Tuesday.
Not surprisingly, the store was very busy and I had to risk being exposed to all the shoppers that have turned into bioterrorists. On the plus side, the below freezing temperature may have helped to kill the germs on shopping carts outside. Still had to sanitize and wash my hands, though. That's winter for you. It's been messing up my usual bi-weekly shopping trips a lot this year. Sometimes I keep thinking it's a different day of the week, like Monday when it's really Tuesday because we had to postpone it on Monday. And it will probably be changed again next week, too.
