I hate fan boys they annoy me

I have been slowly been giving up on Nintendo/Sony/MS. I currently plan on getting a PS3 so that I can play Final Fantasy and no other reason. It is the same reason I got a PS2 and a PS1. I play mostly online games now and RTS games on PC. Somewhere around PS2/XBOX/Gamecube they all started mass producing junk. Each gen seems to make the games more for the casual person and less for "gamers".

For example Nintendo and Rare gave perfect examples on the N64 of how 3D gaming should be done. Super mario 64, Banjo-kazooie/tooie, Goldeneye.... there is a nice list of games they put out that rocked. For some reason many developers seem to want to get away from that standard as much as possible. Halo is one of the few games I feel stuck with the 64 style of 3D gaming and it shows.

Square-enix also has proven that developers are lazy/cheap. I used to hear all the time about how "hard" it was to develop for the PS2. Game after game, bad story, bad graphics, bad sound, bad control.... just bad. Meanwhile Square manages to put out games with graphics that are incredible, along with their usual top notch sound, story and game play. Sure some of their games arnt the greatest, but this is a company that has produced a lot of very highly rated games for a very long time.

There is also another problem for people like me. When I was a kid I was always considered by friends and family to be awesome at video games. Looking back I was actually really bad at them. I can go back and play them and do much better. So the challenge I remember isnt really a challenge. So I have gotten a lot better at video games and video games are being made for more casual gamers now so to me they dont seem as fun.

Reasons for not getting an XBOX, they have far to many games I dont like/want. And major quality issues that I refuse to support. PS3 costs to damned much for what I want it for. Wii looks fun but I have heard a lot of people complain that the controlers dont control as well as they would like.

As for the fanboys I dont know what is wrong with them. They get fed poo and call it steak.... not sure why.

Hm... If I had to determine which systems were best...

Based upon games that I own, backward-compatibility discounted and PC divided into generations:
GameCube>SNES>Xbox

Based upon games that I own, backward-compatibility counted and PC considered one long-lived system:
PC>Wii>Xbox 360


This will, of course, shift around when I get more NES, PS1, and PS2 games.

pc's only real disadvantage is the often ridiculous costs neccasary to maintain a top range gaming pc, i mean who wants to routinely buy hardware just to be able to play the latest games.

360 takes second since it does everything well, has the best games and has equal graphics to the ps3 (everyone thinks blueray is better but if u actually check a 360 elite has the same level of detail)

ps3 great apart from the mandatory installs and only decent online (dont get me wrong the online works well, but its nothing special). does have some of the best single player titles though, but its multiplayer games are less good.

wii il admit the wii is great for on rails shooters. everything else from its game library to its internet are broken. a turd of a console that reeks of fail as badly as the virtual boy.

the xbox 360 is my faverate.
the xbox has superior multiplayer to the ps3 and wii (only a little better than the ps3) and a relativly good price tag.
