Some may hate me for this, but I actually got through a lot in life from listening to positive rap music. I listen to groups like Lauryn Hill and John Reuben. Classified from Canada is explicit but he really has some good things to say.

the Backstreet Boys music has really helped me get through a lot in my life. If i wasn't for their music, i don't know where i would be.

For me it's probably 80's rock bands like Scorpions, Dokken, Ratt, etc.... In fact, I'm currently listening to Dokken at the moment...

Iron maiden was my first band to get used to metal as a starter, then I had
the urge to keep going with new bands. I haven't been into music until after I turned in my teens.
