I drink energy drinks once and a while. SoBE No Fear is the best. If you filtered mountain dew through a jock strap it would probably taste like Rockstar (in other words Rockstar is the worst).

I prefer to eat a jock strap than drink Mountain dew and every energy drink I've tasted.

Bitter chemicals should be taken in pill form not in corn syrup.

He must be mormon because it is against mormonism to drink caffeine or tea (including decaf). No joke.

How about a Scientologist...they are against all drugs.

While some aspies may be hypersensitive to drugs others like myself would have made nothing out of their lives without it. One can kick the wheels on stimulant vehicle...but I have found it a necessary ride to function in this world.

Here are a couple truisms related to this article

Any thread that starts with, "The truth about...", will generally have little truth inside.
Never quote wiki, there are people on Wiki hell bent to distort any topic although Wiki is a good place to get a general feel for a topic.
If you do quote information that is generally unknown to the general public, cite your sources.

in high school I started taking some vivarin (caffeine in a tablet). You can get it at the grocery store. One tablet is 200 mg, about 2 cups of coffee, though the box on the name brand vivarin says 1 cup (the generic brand says 2, and both are 200 mg). The first time I tried it I took 3 of them and went to school (6 cups of coffee!). I felt fine for a while and then it hit, and I started getting real hyper. I was bouncing and looking at everyone real intensely. My friends still razz me about that. I laugh at it too, it was pretty funny.

but I never got addicted to them, I just take them once in a while when I really need them, and I bite them in half and swallow one half and wait before taking the other, so its like I'm drinking one cup of coffee at a time. I figure as long as I don't take caffeine more than every 3rd day and never more than equaling 4 cups (though that is the max, usually I only take 200 mg, 2 cups), I'm safe. But I don't actually view it in a formula like that, I'm more just rationalizing my habit because thats about the most I do. Though there are times when I've taken it everyday for a few days

.And so far so good because I am not addicted. But I have to be very carful b/c sometimes I get into a habit and I have to make sure I stop. Recently I have just been drinking energy drinks though, I haven't taken vivarin in a month.

my brother got addicted using vivarin on top of a TON of soda, and hes having a hard time getting unaddicted

I have noticed I am very sensitive to drugs as well. I took some antidepressants for instance (lexapro, blech, awful stuff), and was told it would kick in after about 10 days. I could feel it the first day I took it and it kicked in around the 2nd or 3rd day. I stopped at ten days and people told me I shouldn't becauset thats when its supposed to start working, but no way I could keep doing it.

I took some other stuff for ADD (though I really don't have it), and it was the same. It was supposed to kick in after a week but I felt it intensely the first day.

I am pretty sensitive to alcohol as well. I have gotten quite drunk off of 3 drinks. But its inconsistent because at times I can drink 3 drinks and barely feel it.

Yeah moronism has pretty strict rules. Morons aren't allowed to do anything...
Kinda sucks.

moronism, hahahah....I'm sorry, I really don't want to be offensive, but in all reality, mormonism is, well, how shall I say this, ridiculous. Ever seen the south park where they show the actual story of Joseph Smith founding it? (musically)"Joseph Smith went to town, dum dum dum dum dum dum dum"

I usually buy a can or Red Bull (80 mg (250 mL)) most days. There's this new energy drink in the UK called 'Relentless', and it comes in a can twice the size of Red Bull, but it's cheaper per can.

I've not tried cutting down my caffiene intake though. Perhaps that's why I've been feeling kinda restless recently.

I just read an article in the paper saying coffee is good for you and is loaded with anti-oxidants and prevents cancer.

Too much I start stimming out at warp-speed, not enough I get migraines.
Tried to quit, worse than quiting alcohol, or cigarettes. :|
