Nope, not yet. Only have lived in Texas & Minnesota and never visited deserts yet. Texas seems about as hot as a frelling desert though, but it's right by the gulf so it's a constant sauna of dooooooooom.

I didnt mean dry in that way. I meant dry as in not legally being allowed to sell alcohol somewhere.

Oh, well not there either. I mean, I'd guess probably have to have a license or something, but nowhere banned from buying from stores.

Melbourne (Aust.) had several dry suburbs, the last of which was "immersed" 7 years ago.
Not much of a problem living in one if you could jump on a tram for 10 minutes to get to a pub.

Been to a few dry places across the US. And even as a kid, I found it weird to limit adults on a legal substance. Adulthood is full of weird red tape for no good reason. (I'm aware we're not all going to agree on where that tape should or shouldn't be.)

I haven't heard from you for so long that I was afraid you fell off the face off the earth! I'm glad you're still with us.

A movie you might like: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0023685/

By the by, alcohol consumption is down. The medical establishment is no longer claiming that red wine will somehow protect you from a heart attack. Now, it is the opposite. So much for the Mediterranean diet.
