Jewish schools in Sydney and Melbourne have 24hr armed security paid for by the local Jewish communities.

But very difficult to retrospectively predict "what ifs". what is likely is this won't be the last time. Meanwhile, the systematic and horrific treatment of non-Muslims in Nigeria, Sudan, Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Bangladesh seems to fly under the radar, perhaps because they economically don't matter (relatively) and neither do the victims.

Jewish ppl in Australia will likely remain vigilant for the near future.
