Love this song.

Always found it ironic that they put out an album titled The Long Run and then broke up a year later.

Probably my favorite two decades for music.

1970s' had the major classic rock artists hitting their stride - Zeppelin, The Who, the Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel, Springsteen, etc. Stevie Wonder was out there opening new doors with each album. Dylan got his second wind. I even love disco. Punk came about. Van Halen debuted. Female artists like Joni Mitchell, Carole King and Linda Ronstadt, among others, showed that rock was no longer just a boys' club.

1980s' was the era for unpretentious, fun catchy pop music. Four of my all-time favorites - Prince, solo Phil Collins, Depeche Mode, and my hero Cyndi Lauper - both came from that era. Plus Madonna, MJ, Lionel Richie, Culture Club, and slew of great one-hit wonders. Later on GNR came out and put grit and energy back into rock. An incredibly fun and timeless decade.
