I killed a fly. Well, a fly paper killed it, but I put the fly paper up, so I claim the credit. I more directly killed one a few days ago with a fly swatter, but another one got in the apartment and these particular flies are very good at avoiding being swatted, so I felt like giving up, but I'd forgotten about the fly paper until I saw the fly stuck there. I was quite pleased because before that it had only caught 3 or 4 tiny gnats, so this is its first big kill. I'd been thinking I might have wasted my money but no, it was 25 cents well spent.
I also finished downloading the complete set of an old-ish TV series. As there were 52 episodes it took quite a while, but I'm a completist and I get a lot of satisfaction in getting a full set of something, especially when it's a bit of a challenge.
I got my electricity restored after it had tripped a breaker the landlord doesn't allow me access to. The maintenance team didn't even know where the breaker was, but thanks to my incredibly verbose diary I managed to find out where it was from what I'd written about last time it tripped out, so I was able to remind the landlord. Funny they'd forgotten an important detail like that. They're not very professional.
